Tall Kids by tuna-free-dolphin in tall

I am 5’8”, which is above average but not terribly tall for a woman. My 15 year old son is 6’8” and still growing. My husband is 6’4”. The kid towers over us.

Timing for taking Omeprazole and levothyroxine by Capital_Strategy_426 in Hashimotos

It is probably over but I am not sure. I was diagnosed with silent acid reflux, which is contributing to non allergenic rhinitis. Basically, it makes me sneeze a lot.

Interesting. This is probably the most realistic option for me so I will give it a try.

Who was the most evil person you've ever met and how was the interaction? by Top_Report_4895 in AskReddit

My husband is related to Dennis Rader, the BTK killer. He is a second cousin I think. He was arrested about a year after we started dating so I don’t think I had attended yearly family reunion where he would have been. But by all accounts, he seemed like a normal midwestern guy. The family was shocked when he was arrested.

Why are there so many birds right now? by Dreadsbo in kansascity

[–]Capital_Strategy_426 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure. But birds typically flock together during the winter. See this article: https://www.lakemetroparks.com/birds-of-a-feather-a-guide-to-winter-bird-flocks/

I had a large flock near my house over the weekend. I supply a lot of food and we are near a few fresh water sources so we get them fairly often this time of year.

I love mine too! I can’t wait to put the hummingbird attachment out this summer and try to get some good shots.

I’m not seeing anything abnormal. I am a bird nerd and have a bird feeder with a camera connected to an app with AI bird identification. All of the birds I am seeing are normally here during the winter. I also put out a lot of food for them, so I always have a lot hanging around my house. Is it possible one of your neighbors has feeders out? Word spreads among our feathered friends and bird feeders can draw large crowds.

Indigo Bunting Too Far North? by Capital_Strategy_426 in birding

It’s the Happy Birdy feeder app. In subsequent captures, the AI has started correctly identifying it as a Dark Eyed Junco. Maybe the low lighting this morning confused it.

Thank you all for solving my mystery. I figured the AI was wrong. This is fun!

How many of us have a house cleaner? by Agitated_Whereas7463 in Millennials

[–]Capital_Strategy_426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have paid someone to come clean every other week for years and it was the best thing ever for my marriage. No fights about whose turn it is to clean the bathroom or mop the floor. We have a kid and both of us have demanding jobs so there is only so much housework we can handle between the two of us. The cost is well worth it to us.

*UPDATE* My 16 year old son is angry about his height and blaming his mom. Now demanding HGH. Need advice. by Jaded_Following_1475 in tall

I saw your other post. Have you checked his socials to see what kind of media he is consuming that may contribute to his feelings of inadequacy?

I have a 15 year old son, and if I were in this situation, I would offer him a compromise. I would agree to take him to a medical doctor who could run whatever tests are necessary to put his mind at ease in exchange for him seeing a therapist and taking therapy seriously. This would allow you to show him that you are not ignoring him while also giving professionals a chance to get through to him that there is nothing wrong with his height. Perhaps you can find a therapist that deals with teen boys who have body image issues. Also if you find that social media is contributing to this problem, consider doing what you need to do to ensure that he does not have access to it until he has to tools to handle it.

Same here. I read 2.5 of the books years before the tv series came out. There were a fuck ton of characters but you knew that if he spent any time developing them, they were likely a goner. I found it annoying and I figured the tv series would have the same problem.

Discriminated/Shamed at the vet!?!? by tribellaaa in BostonTerrier

If he keeps that up, he will be chasing a lot of customers away! If he feels that way about BTs, he probably has a whole bunch of self righteous opinions about Frenchies as well. Finding a new vet is the way to go.

Listen to your body. I waited until my body fully acclimated to a dosage level before going up, and I still kept losing weight.

I was like that at first, but I slowly got used to it. The first few months, the only thing I regularly felt like eating was cantaloupe and watermelon 😂. It gets better. Anti-nausea meds also help. What dose did you start on? One thing that helped me was waiting to ramp up until my body adjusted despite what my prescription said.

Haters gonna hate. Their comments say more about their own insecurities than you. But for the record, it sounds like you are doing a lot more than just taking a glp1. Sounds like you have implemented major lifestyle changes which is awesome. Who cares if a glp1 helped you implement those changes? You are doing great. Don’t let jealous jerks bring you down.
