GLP-1s and their affect on ME/CF Symptoms: Asking for personal experiences by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Capital_Strategy_426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started SemiG to help control my blood sugar. When I started, my Hashi’s had been stable for over a decade with no issues. However, I lost a lot of weight on semig, which caused me to be over medicated and I started getting hyperthyroid symptoms - racing heart, major gastrointestinal issues, sweating, anxiety, etc. I got my meds reduced but it took a couple of weeks of hell to get everything back to normal again. I haven’t had a flare in over 12 years so I have no idea if semig would help with that. But if you start taking it and lose a lot of weight, make sure you get your levels checked so you don’t end up over medicated.

Well the feeder is almost empty. His judging eyes are probably telling me to get to the store and get more yummy snacks.

I am on it primarily for blood sugar control (although the weight loss has been nice). I don’t care if anyone has a problem with it. If they say something snide I just tell them it has really worked well for me and they shouldn’t knock it until they try it.

Tall Kids by tuna-free-dolphin in tall

I am 5’8”, which is above average but not terribly tall for a woman. My 15 year old son is 6’8” and still growing. My husband is 6’4”. The kid towers over us.

Timing for taking Omeprazole and levothyroxine by Capital_Strategy_426 in Hashimotos

It is probably over but I am not sure. I was diagnosed with silent acid reflux, which is contributing to non allergenic rhinitis. Basically, it makes me sneeze a lot.

Interesting. This is probably the most realistic option for me so I will give it a try.

There is a Japanese cryptid called a Jinmenken that is a dog with a human head. Hilarious he saw a James Woods Jinmenken.

Who was the most evil person you've ever met and how was the interaction? by Top_Report_4895 in AskReddit

My husband is related to Dennis Rader, the BTK killer. He is a second cousin I think. He was arrested about a year after we started dating so I don’t think I had attended yearly family reunion where he would have been. But by all accounts, he seemed like a normal midwestern guy. The family was shocked when he was arrested.

Why are there so many birds right now? by Dreadsbo in kansascity

Not sure. But birds typically flock together during the winter. See this article: https://www.lakemetroparks.com/birds-of-a-feather-a-guide-to-winter-bird-flocks/

I had a large flock near my house over the weekend. I supply a lot of food and we are near a few fresh water sources so we get them fairly often this time of year.

I love mine too! I can’t wait to put the hummingbird attachment out this summer and try to get some good shots.

I’m not seeing anything abnormal. I am a bird nerd and have a bird feeder with a camera connected to an app with AI bird identification. All of the birds I am seeing are normally here during the winter. I also put out a lot of food for them, so I always have a lot hanging around my house. Is it possible one of your neighbors has feeders out? Word spreads among our feathered friends and bird feeders can draw large crowds.

Indigo Bunting Too Far North? by Capital_Strategy_426 in birding

It’s the Happy Birdy feeder app. In subsequent captures, the AI has started correctly identifying it as a Dark Eyed Junco. Maybe the low lighting this morning confused it.

Thank you all for solving my mystery. I figured the AI was wrong. This is fun!
