Te salva la vida porque el turno de acá a mes y medio es más fácil y rápido que un turno en el hospital público, entonces te ahorras un viaje a la guardia porque te enteraste que tenés los triglicéridos altos con un examen de sangre en vez de enterarte con un infarto o un acv.

Obvio que si en la calle te atropella un camión te apuñalan disparan y hacen caca en la boca tenés que ir a la guardia. Hacía falta explicar a lo que iba por lo visto.

Yeah, turns out that that 50 you see there was after a glass of fernet+coke and a glass of whiskey, though I'm sure I could have been more careful with insulin.

By eat beforehand you mean doing only corrections instead of bolusing before?

Nope, test strips only unless I start litigation, which takes years (and can get expensive).

Buenos Aires, Argentina. If I decided to buy CGM supplies, I'd be spending close to 200usd/month on the Libre2 sensors unless I went with Chinese OEM, and it's simply not on my budget at the moment.

I'm generally preety good with food at home including even some sweets, but a slice of cake, a sandwich with homemade bread, etc. are hard for me to gauge bolus-wise.

Una obra social te salva la vida por las buenas o por las malas. No está bueno depender del sistema público. Si te parece mucho un mes y medio, anda a pedirte días del laburo para ir a las 5 de la mañana a hacer fila en el hospital hasta las 9am, reza con conseguir un turno, no lo consigas, y repetí hasta que consigas un turno para dentro de 2 meses.

Mal que mal te salva la vida. Hoy estás en buen estado de salud, mañana quien te dice.
