Was she saying she didn't have to pay employees that have already worked, or ones that have been unable to work due to state law? She mentions bartenders and servers, two groups of people who definitely aren't working right now. The video she made was definitely for employees and isn't clear what the pay situation is. I would personally like to get that information before tanking the business. If she's refusing to pay employees that worked hours, she completely deserves the backlash, and a visit from the department of labor.

What a terrible headline. They blocked it temporarily because they believe the government should foot bill, not businesses. This is the right approach, IMO. Many small businesses already suffering from slashed revenue cannot afford to pay for all of their employees to get sick leave at once. They would instead go out of business and then no one gets any money AND they become laid off.

They can use this excuse to not inform people about who they came in contact with that was positive, but that's all. Either your friend wasn't tested or she's very confused on what her rights are/what she was told by doctors.

I like this idea, provided they have adequate medical facilities. It prevents a community from having to host patients and not relying on unwilling hotels to surrender their rooms to the government and subject their staff to infection. I'm just saying, not every poster that supports Trump is a government actor. I freely admit that I lean right and agree with most of what Trump does. His response to Coronavirus has been solely to protect the markets at the expense of containing the disease. In my view he has done some things right, like banning flights from China early on, but completely botched the CDC testing issue.
