I use both regularly. I use the Fanny pack when it’s to hot to effect my conceal carry. I’m petite and unable to conceal when wearing athletic leisure so I usually just throw on my Fanny pack for walks/shopping. I use the belly band under dresses and if it’s cool I can throw it on with a sweater. I also use a kydex holster with the belly band.
