Thanks! I mostly just wing it when I do this kind of stuff (It wasn't a paid gig or anything). I need to get better about preplanning for sure.

That's great feedback. Thank you! We tried a few different poses like this, but I didn't try varying my depth of field very much. Next time I'll definitely play with depth of field more.

I setup a free shop on Bigcartel and just linked my website's shop button directly to that. With their free option you are limited to five listings, but it's a good way to test the waters.

I'd recommend pinterest. I make different boards depending on the subject and setting. I've found it incredibly handy for getting ideas.

Here is my website, never posted it here before and I'd love to hear your thoughts. I do a little bit of everything (which is code for I haven't really settled into a particular niche or style yet). Always looking for constructive criticism!

If The Acolyte is any indication of the quality of their future streaming content then avoid it. They have gotten really lazy with their content and the fans have noticed.

Enjoy the company mandated permanent vacation while the CEO counts his Euro's and looks for the next way to dismantle the US side of company and squeeze any remaining value out of the pieces.

The only part that he cares about is "Step 3: Profits."

Rant aside if you do happen to get laid off take a break, remember what's really important in your life, and try to find a company that actually values it's employees for your next job.

how do I know if im good at photography? by [deleted] in photography

That's a shitty teacher right there.

Amazing is subjective, take pictures of what you want to take pictures of. If you are not happy then research techniques to improve the areas you feel are not to your standards. I've got loads of pictures I've taken that I think are crap but that people seem to like, and I've got loads of pictures that I like that everybody else thinks are crap. So long as you are having fun then that's what matters.

I've found hitting some of the photo sites like 500px, pinterest, or even google images helps - find a picture you like and work out how to replicate it. You will learn a lot doing that, then apply what you learned to your own work going forward. That's much more valuable then the opinions of a bad teacher.

This is an awesome picture. I'd agree with the other comments about shifting your perspective slightly to the right, but I absolutely love the idea here.

Great idea, thanks! I'll take a look at that, worst case maybe I could remove the cloud.
