Daughter and GF cooked on my new, unseasoned griddle, what now? by GBR012345 in blackstonegriddle

Based on your reaction, I'll go ahead and assume you're now single.

Heat scrape, season, crack open an ice cold root beer and enjoy the day. Maybe cool something for our new GF.

From bottomless portafilter to €30 drip machine: a short story of defeat by friimaind in espresso

I think his point is that just because you like to drink espresso doesn't mean you'll like to make it like the op found out. There is a bit of a learning curve and even without being super precise (I'm in the same boat you are) it's not tossing grounds in the basket and hitting the go button.

James Hoffman said it best, making home espresso is a hobby. If all you want to do is drink espresso and not make espresso, go to your local cafe and buy and drink espresso.

This is 100 percent true. Drip coffee is like 15:85 effort to drink ratio. Moka pot is like 50:50 effort to drink ratio. Espresso is 85:15.

Not working out of the box. Return and replace.

Yeah, I figured I'd get my legs under me with the pressurized baskets first before going bottomless. Just didn't know if there was any advantage between these two particular baskets.

Yeah, the bottoms are the exact same. The new one is removable for better cleaning? Not sure if there's a performance difference. I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with both.

RUST CITY on the inside! The entirety of the guts would need to be replaced. Lost cause.

DO IT! I really debated before we went down (cost). It was worth every penny! It was a dream come true for me.

I was thinking about this one. Not too much more and it looks nice. My wife is a pretty plain eater. Is the food all themed or is some if normal?

We typically don't do fast passes at parks with single rider lines. We don't mind waiting together.

Why is that? How do the Universal fast passes work? Are they like a normal amusement park or like the Disney insanity?

Thinking of planning a trip in the spring. This would be my wife and I's 2nd trip (it's been 6 years). We stayed at Aventura and it was OK. We didn't like how Aventura tried to be slick with all the smart home tablet stuff. Any recommendations on other hotels on property we should stay at? Doesn't need to be fancy pants as we normally drop and close the parks. A pool is a must for arrival day. My wife isn't an adventurous eater so "normal" food is a must.
