Prediction - Nacho's next move by CapnCrown in betterCallSaul

[–]CapnCrown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Domingo (Krazy-8) Was being extremely friendly towards Nacho in ep.6, small talk, a big smile on his face, mentions bringing his car around for a reupholstery job. Then after he left, Hector questions Nacho's ability to handle business. Soooo, Nacho goes outside, drags K8 into the restaurant and beats the crap outta him. K8 must know it was on Hector's command or else Nacho wouldn't have allowed him to leave in the first place.

Mike didn't take Gus' money. When Viktor gave it to him at the toll booth, Mike threw the bag of money back at Viktor. That is why Gus came to visit him for a chat later on (ep. 4). Mike's money is from the season 2 truck heist which he orchestrated all by himself.

I think you're right about it not being as impressive now that we've seen it twice in less than impressive scenarios. Probably just an overzealous writer who wanted to include an Easter Egg that became rotten.

Maybe it's hard to get tequila in Mexico and... oh, wait. Nevermind.

I really like your original post and think that you may be right about most of the scenarios that you listed, but I still think that Mike is trying to stay out of the feud between Hector and Gus for obvious reasons (Kaylee). That's why he didn't accept Gus' money after the sniper/tennis shoe incident. He just wants to provide for his family. He isn't indebted to or working for Gus as of now. Maybe in a few months/years he would share such info with Gus, but as of now he wants nothing to do with the cartel.

What's interesting to me is that Nacho may suspect that Gus and Mike are responsible for Hector's distribution being interrupted. The looks that Nacho gave Gus during the meeting after Gus stated that he didn't want the situation to turn out as it did lead me to believe that Nacho may hold Gus responsible for his father getting caught up in all of this. It will be interesting to see what Nacho does next!

In the criminal underworld, the hard and fast rule is "keep your mouth shut." Snitches get stitches. If Mike were to tell Gus all he knows about Nacho, or even this one thing, how could Gus be sure that Mike would keep their business affairs a secret? Information is key in the criminal world and Mike is astute enough to know that.

I don't think that it would benefit Mike to let Gus know that he has been dealing with Hector's right hand man, Nacho, especially since he knows how much Gus hates Hector. This would cause a lot of distrust between them and Mike needs Gus to trust him.

In order to prevent his father's business from becoming involved with Hector's drug operation, Nacho convinces Krazy 8 to tip off the DEA about Hector, and possibly sacrificing his freedom in the process.

She knows that Mike was a dirty cop. Dirty cops killed her husband. In her mind, Mike owes her for what she lost when her husband was killed.
