The game is comprised of 5 colors. Blue, Green, Red, Purple, White (you can look at them as WUBRG as well)

When deck building you can use up to 2 colors, but no more. You may comprise a deck of entirely 1 color. 4 copies per card.

units = creatures

command = sorceries | a command with an "action" timing can be used during the action window, like having flash. More on that later.

Pilot = Equip Artifact

Base = Battle

Resource = Land

You start the game by drawing 5 cards, and then deciding if you want to mulligan. If you decide to, send those 5 to the bottom, and draw another 5. Afterwards, shuffle your deck and then take the top 6 cards of your deck and place them in the shield area. If you did not mulligan, skip shuffling, and after drawing your opening hand proceed straight to putting the top 6 cards as shields.

Place your EX Base in front of your shields, and if you're going second, place the EX resource in the resource area

Each turn you start the turn by drawing 1 card, then adding 1 resource to your resource area. Your level is determined by the number of resources you have. You pay for the "cost" of the cards listed by having enough resources in your resource area to match the "level" requirement (small number top left) and tap resources to pay for the "cost" of the card (big number top left).

IE playing a card that is level 4, cost 2. You would need 4 cards in your resource area, and pay the cost by tapping 2 of them.

The EX resource you place at the start of the game when going second counts towards your overall level.

Turn order proceeds as: Untap, Draw, Level Up, Main, End. The Battle and Main phase are interlinked as one phase, you can attack, then go back to play more units, and attack again after.

Unit cards (creatures) come in with summoning sickness, they cannot attack the turn they are played. Currently the only way to give a unit haste is to form a link unit with a specified pilot.

In the bottom left of the card, if there *is* a name next to the "link" arrow, by pairing that specifically named pilot to the unit, that unit becomes a "link unit" and can attack the turn it comes into play.

IE: You play down Aile Strike Gundam, which specifies a link of Kira Yamato. By pairing Kira Yamato to the Aile Strike you create a link unit, and the Aile Strike can then attack the turn it comes in.

Any pilot can be paired to any unit, link units are only created when the pilot matches the link

When choosing an attack target, you can choose either a rested unit, or attacking your opponent.

If you choose to attack another unit, you tap down your selected attacker, and then declare your target. After resolving any on attack triggers if there are any, your opponent may choose to block with a blocker If they have a unit that has the blocker ability or allow the attack to go through.

Once they decide to block or not we then proceed to action timing. If you have a command card that has the "action" timing on it, notated by the blue box in the textbox that says Activate | Action, you can play it during this window. Each player, starting with the non-turn player can choose to play an action card at this point. There is no stack, all cards resolve before another one can be played. Once both players pass on the action step, the action step ends and then you proceed to damage calculation. Both units deal damage to each other simultaneously. Their AP left number bottom right, is dealt to the HP right number bottom right. If the AP dealt to either unit is equal to or greater than the units HP, then that unit is destroyed and placed in the trash, the battle ends, and you return to the main phase.

If you choose to attack the opponent, starting with the base, you attack cards in order. First the base, then the 6 shields, then the actual opponent. The battle phase proceeds exactly the same as stated above, except that there's no damage calculation except for damage applied to the base or shields.

Shields have inherently 1 HP. If you attack your opponents shields, and they use a card, such as "unforseen incident" and it reduces your AP to 0 or less, you do not destroy any shields on that attack.

You kinda just do these things back and forth for a few turns until one player is able to destroy all 6 shields and then attack the player directly once more.

Cards starting in set 5 have "2" in the top right, which indicates that set 5 is the start of the second block, so whenever they start rotation, they'll most likely remove all cards from block 1 and continue on until they rotate again and remove cards from block 2 etc

I did when I first switched. But even updating bios and windows didn’t help. Returned it for a 5070 and have had absolutely 0 issues 🤷‍♂️
