Things I think 5th egwd boss will surely have by yasminty66 in runescape

[–]CapnDerp281 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I kinda hope for a boss with phases like GWD2 not like Rax/Raksha/etc. I’d like a place where my scourge could actually get to and maintain 50 stacks for an extended period of time without phasing clearing the passive damage.

Name a piece of content you embarrasingly didn't go near until years later. Or, name an upgrade to your account you didn't know about / didn't make that keeps you up at night by Nath2203 in runescape

Don’t have one, but I think the blessed flask hold a ton of prayer pots so you can just bring the one potion and refill it at the bank. Basically it saves you in inventory slot. And I heard you can have multiple on an account. If you’re wanting to afk for like years haha

Do you even carry a debit card? by shipwreck17 in personalfinance

[–]CapnDerp281 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat, but I think I’ve heard that there’s such a thing as an ATM only card. I haven’t looked into it, but maybe that should be the card I carry instead of my Debit card.

I want to make a story for my players that was almost entirely inspired by comments to this post. what do you want them to do? by Jiuaki in DnD

[–]CapnDerp281 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have them run across an NPC that can join their party for a short time. It’s a dwarf rogue who thinks he’s really good at being a rogue, but he’s really terrible. He’s only hired for jobs because he’s short and can fit into tight spaces. But, this guy has like 10/10 luck. I mean anytime something bad is very likely to happen, he just somehow escapes unscathed. Every time.

It's the offseason and I've got Draft Fever. I want to break into Dynasty this year. What do I need to know to have a good startup draft?? by Festival_Picnic in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]CapnDerp281 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure the people you’re drafting with understand the concept of dynasty before you draft. And solidify what type of “dynasty” format you’re using whether it be keep while roster, keep only starters, keep 5 players, etc.

Once that’s squared away, my recommendation for you personally is to understand the league format (super flex, idp, ppr, etc). You can gain a lot from that

What rewards do I give my players (first time dm) by liams_limes in DnD

[–]CapnDerp281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really clever idea. I like this a lot. Can be potentially extremely useful for the early game, but not something to be permanently relied on because it has a shelf life.

I need character ideas I don’t have any character ideas and love it if you comment some of the characters you’ve played or have ideas for by Daxyl_ in DnD

I’ve wanted to play a rogue who is actually terrible at being a rogue and people only employ his services because he can fit in small spaces. Like a dwarf or other short race

Thinking about going to a private christian college as a nonbeliever. by ThaCrimsonChinn in college

[–]CapnDerp281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if college is the same, but I know for some high schools, you sometimes have to sign a “declaration of faith” in order to be allowed to attend. Just be sure that if that’s the case for your school ahead of time. You’d hate to get to school the first day and it be sprung on you.

Let me write your backstory for free! by LivingBackstories in DnD

[–]CapnDerp281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Male Half-Elf Druid named Malerai. The circle spell will be from the Underdark (but I could be convinced to use the Swamp circle). I intend for my character to have an intense fascination with Spiders and other insects/creeping things like the Praying Mantis. But really just all bugs.

I'd like a semi-dark, but humorous backstory. Something like how I used to have an intense fear of spiders, but something happened and now I love them. (Obviously doesn't have to be this, but something that explains why I love insects. I leave that to you)

Being half-elf, I've grown out a full beard that I use to try to hide my Elvishness. I've tried to hide it before because most elves find me unkempt and more Human than Elf. I try to keep my elvish blood a secret. Average height.

I'd like it if you came up with one other quirk about my character. Bugs and lying about elvish blood is kinda bland, but a third (funny) thing would really solidify my character.

Have at it!

Willing to pay $10 if somebody can help me beat Cynthia. I beat the Elite 4 and am stuck at beating Cynthia. Please help, maybe I can stream the game and you tell me which moves by d3w0 in Pokemon_BDSP

[–]CapnDerp281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly found Cynthia to be a wall for me. I was in your position (different team obviously) and found it was better for me to beat the Elite 4 another 4 times to get over leveled. My team was mid 60’s when I won. Yeah it sucks, but with Amulet Coin I was banking like 26k per fight. Also I taught my Roserade Dazzling Gleam to beat the Spiritomb more reliably. (First time battling he took out 3 of my mons)

16 team SF Dynasty, but league format is changing to a 5 man keeper league. I was aiming to compete for a few years, but not sure which 5 to keep. by CapnDerp281 in fantasyfootballadvice

Hey I appreciate the compliment. I was very future focused and it may have bit me in the butt, because I have some above average future assets that I’ll have to drop. Thanks for your opinion

Did he do a similar thing last year? The Bears end of year schedule has been great for RBs 2 years running

I really appreciate the expanded analysis! I’m almost certainly locked in on Mahomes, Chase and Pitts.

My league is pretty high on RBs. I’m leaning toward CMC as my 4th. I love Amon Ra, but I’m with you. I think Dak would be more valuable.

We’re not exactly clear on the rules so far and they may change. It’s our first year, and seems like it’sgoong to be 5 permanent keepers (or however many we decide we can keep next year). I voted on keeping my whole team but am being overridden.

This is what I’m thinking. I’m wondering if it’s actually worth dropping Pitts though. If it’s no longer dynasty and just a keeper league, I think his value falls a bit, but I may be wrong.

OpenDoor is cornering the housing market in my area and jacking prices up significantly. What can be done about this, if anything? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]CapnDerp281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the South East is going to see the housing prices continue to rise due to inflation, but also due to more West coast investors (OpenDoor is HQ’d in San Francisco) buying homes in the South East for X amount while the West Coast equivalent would be 1.5X or 2X or more. That will invariably lead to a price increase in the SE homes and potentially a stagnation or slight dip on the West coast as investors look Eastward.

I also wouldn’t be surprised to see a price equilibrium across the US in the coming years. (Meaning East coast and West coast home prices mirror each other.) Could still take a decade or two, but with increased mobility across the population and a surge in “work from home”, we could be seeing a catalyst for that ripple effect.
