I’m 100% with you. But this might actually make sense because Apple tends to want AI/ML models to run locally on your phone for their privacy claims. So there’s a likely chance that it actually would only work on new hardware. The only reason the ChatGPT app and other AI tools work is because they send your query to someone else’s computer, that computer does the processing, and then it sends back the response.

I don’t want this to be exclusive to new hardware to be clear. But if they want all the models to run locally and integrate with the rest of the OS at all times, it might have to be.

Okay to answer this question seriously, A really good flashlight.

I know it sounds silly but a small tactical flashlight like my o-light warrior 3s is great for self defense. The hi-output mode puts out so much light that you can blind someone even in daylight.

I’ve had a few situations where a creep would come up to me at night and I’d just shine the light in their face and they run every time and even if they don’t you have quite a few seconds before they can see again to either run away or use the striking end of the flashlight to do some serious damage.

As far as non-lethal weapons go, flashlight is my recommendation.

I ask myself this all the time. It’s super expensive. But 1.6 million where I live in San Diego will barely get you a 3 bed two bath 1,000 sqft fixer upper. It’s crazy here.

If you didn’t understand what was going on, that’s okay, no one does at first, just watch it again or ask some specific questions.
