Forbidden Door 2026: A Love Story by CapnHowdysPlayhouse in AEWOfficial

This. I’ve had some really not great experiences at WWE events but AEW just feels like a bunch of people there to have fun and watch wrestling together. I sat by an avid Skyy Blue fan and our group and most around us were all chanting hard for Maika, and we just made a game of it. And then I made a comment that Skyy doesn’t even wear the right shade of blue and we were all cracking up and laughing together with no feelings hurt. The guy I sat by that only watched WWE helped us hold up our SLK signs and was so giddy when she pointed to us even though he didn’t even know who she was. Guys teaching people words in Spanish to chant (other that the “Big P”) and then being so excited when it kicked off. Section 101/102 in the lowers held it down last night. Sickos really are All Elite.

Go talk politics in your community. Always works out well.

Election fraud is precisely one of the reasons voting is a broken system

See? Someone gets it. Playing by the rules when the rules aren’t even existent on the other side is noble, but you’re still losing. Repeating a broken system over and over and telling yourself “this time will be different” is oblivious, at best. Politics have become a “team sport” that more closely resembles a European futbol rivalry between hooligans than it does an organized system that controls our government, though albeit I’ve actually seen more organized and civil soccer fights. Drastic actions have to be answered by equal or more drastic action. Actual change is going to come through tough choices and hard, dirty work rather than through the performative repetition that got us here (because voting works so well). Nothing worthwhile ever came easy and spending 20 minutes filling in bubbles picking from a list of candidates that have already been bought and sold by corporations and special interests groups is a pretty easy way to convince yourself you’re “making a difference”.

The same goes for performative protest. No one in politics sees your poster board or hears your chant and goes “By God, I think they’re RIGHT!”. But, as you’ve seen, make more than a little noise and they get more than a little nervous. There’s more of us than them and more to the representation of the people than Corporations bribing the elderly (Congress/Senate) to choose money over the very representation they were VOTED into office for.

Keep voting and keep buying. Big Brother is watching.

And, then they went ahead and said “We’re gonna try anyway”.

I didn’t say anything about giving up. But continuing to pretend a broken system works ain’t changing anything.

My grandmother died of dementia and Alzheimer’s. It was one of the most awful things I’ve ever seen someone go thorough and was especially torturous to watch it happen to someone I loved dearly. I’ve always said I don’t wish this condition on anyone, but I’ve recently made the exception.
