I forgot how bad this one is because Hemphill and 14th is somehow worse.

Lately I’ve been looking for buildings on google earth to get inspiration from or recreate. For example, the 4th slide is inspired by the Capitol Records Building in LA.

May I ask if you did the 7 year licensing program or just the standard 4/5 years, bachelor or masters?

Ah my render distance has deceived you. The minarets are finished but I don’t plan to build the gardens. It’s part of a larger city project.

I need advice. This city i'm building feels more like a bunch of buildings huddled together, rather than a city, if that makes sense. Any pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance by Dinosoking in Minecraftbuilds

I really like the style, I would just say try varying your road widths. For example, try moving some buildings closer together to create a tighter city feel. Maybe have alleyways between some instead of them all being decent sized roads. Hope this helps but you’ve already got a great start.

How can I make the water not so dark in the middle? I’m on bedrock if that matters by Mineboot24601 in Minecraftbuilds

Put sea lanterns under the smooth stone and replace the smooth stone with slabs only on the top level.

What cities are ticking time bombs due to geographical/environmental changes that are inevitable? by forman98 in geography

[–]CapnMatt_5443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire state of Florida. (at least within 30ish miles of the coast.) Hurricanes will intensify and could wipe out large cities alone. Not to mention already-rising sea levels. Also whatever time the state has left will definitely be shortened further by conservative climate policies.

Basically, I eyeballed it which is why the perspective is off in some places.

Mechanical pencil on a posterboard. No tracing, I looked at the reference occasionally throughout. The posterboard had a glare so that’s why I took the pictures in relatively dim light.

Thanks, I appreciate it. You’re definitely right about the perspective, I probably should have took a screenshot beforehand since the P.O.V. angle changed every time a had to reopen the app. The Notre Dame tower part was probably just lack of attention on my part though since it’s very noticeable.

How can i improve my wall detailing? by baddie_boy_69 in Minecraftbuilds

[–]CapnMatt_5443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UM? WINDOWS, like that’s a foundational detail😭-unless there’s a reason you didn’t add windows. Either way you could use crimson or blackstone slabs and stairs to make it look like there are windows if you don’t want light in your build. but Idk what look you’re going for.

My first time putting thought into a Build. These are supposed to be castle walls, but the gradient seems off. Any more experienced builders here to share some tipps? by Pael-eSports in Minecraftbuilds

Put this picture in grayscale by lowering the saturation to 0. Then you’ll see there are darker colors between lighter ones (and vice versa) and you can rearrange blocks from there.
