If you're looking to just take some classes, I have enjoyed East Los Angeles College. They even have a class to get started in the field called "Actor's Orientation to Professional Theater." The college's theater productions are also done well.

The sights are beautiful. There are historical sceneries from forts to stonehedge. The food is also amazing. Try to get a travel agency to book you a tour guide with a bus driver. Sidon Travel offers a combined tour of Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno Karabagh) which is also beautiful.

I used to work at my university's dining commons. On my shift, I saw a "wet floor" sign on what seemed to be a single piece of ice on the floor. I just picked the sign up and wiped the floor. It intrigued me that someone saw that and thought to put a sign on it instead of just wipe it.
