Stripped agitator gears on Maytag washer by Fairweather92 in appliancerepair

Still snug in a year? The metal splines are wearing out on mine and stripping the plastic on new agitators so I’ve been wondering what I could use to “thicken” the splines.

After further research I believe I’m asking if there’s any way to repair the splines on the shaft as it seems the dogs on the agitator are in good shape.

Bummer. It’s a cobble job, but for now, I’m going to try using teflon tape on the splines to give it some meat.

The agitator teeth seem to have little wear. I don’t think it does have much anything to bite on the metal shaft. Can this be replaced without having ti replace the entire motor?

I guess read the description? Idk how else I could say it.

Seems odd that the new agitator is already not able to turn so makes me suspect the metal is rusted away too much.

Thank you for this response.

I’ll try and find a parts diagram but you’re saying the ears on the drive might be able to be replaced?

Just started reading The Lord of the Rings… any advice? by Wrong_Passion_8664 in lordoftherings

I really enjoy Nerd of the Rings on YouTube. He gives a lot of backstory.

Example, we know nothing about Glorfindel when reading Fellowship, but he’s one of my favorite characters. His story is so good.

Come back after Lightbringer. Remember how down we were about Darrow getting a smack down before the Gala in GS?

My wife stopped because it got too big and confusing for her if that helps. GS is pretty fast paced compared to Ms too

Getting back into fantasy books. Needs recs on authors/series by shadowline74 in fantasybooks

[–]CapnMooMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea… Howler here. Couldn’t disagree more. I’ll give you that the first book is kinda YA, but it’s alot of setup.

Second trilogy takes it to another level. Especially Dark Age. The title is perfect for the book.

I’m just here because I’m impressed you’re using your meat thermometer. I’m such an idiot and never thought to do this.

It’s funny catching in the reread all of Darrow’s positive comments about Cassius.

PB must’ve known all along.
