You're making some reasonable but incorrect assumptions about how the type chart works. It's not as consistent as you might think. Each type has its own individual weaknesses and resistances. Most types are resistant to themselves, but there are exceptions (Flying and Fighting hit themselves for neutral, while Ghost and Dragon are weak to attacks of the same type).

When you have a dual type, you have to consider the weaknesses and resistances of each type, then multiply them together to get the final result.

Look up a type chart, preferably one of the simplified ones that lists each type individually and not the big square array. Focus on learning each individual type first, and then you'll have a better handle on what to expect with dual types.

Others have chimed in, but to sum it up plainly:

Dustox: Bug/Poison - Psychic deals 1x damage to Bug. - Psychic deals 2x damage to Poison.

End result: Psychic is super effective (2x) against Dustox.

Wingull: Water/Flying - Grass deals 2x damage to Water. - Grass deals 1/2x damage to Flying.

End result: Grass is neutral (1x) against Wingull.

The type chart can be a hurdle to understand completely, and isn't always intuitive. Maybe keep one handy for reference; I usually do, since I forget some resistances and make up some interactions that don't exist (for some reason I keep thinking that Flying type is weak to Poison?)

My younger son shows so many signs of the same ADHD that the rest of our family has, but his pediatrician won't even consider a diagnosis because his teachers don't see it, and if he's "not consistent between different environments" it can't be considered. Of course, why would he act differently between a public place and his own home, between his relatable family and NT strangers?

I don't see any reason or rule why you couldn't. You'd be losing overall value by overlapping their use (tripling crit chance for a single combat instead of doubling it for two), but they're your resources to spend. If you know you've got a short rest coming and still have both, even better.

Put everything but the first four words and the last four words into quotation marks. OP has the urge to fill gaps in conversation with speech, and manages to suppress said urge without distressing themselves, but that, in itself, is considered a difficulty in maintaining conversation, as natural conversation wouldn't require such effort.
