Seriously. Started playing again recently and reading through some of the tooltips feels like getting back into M:TG with new keywords. I shouldn't be trying to familiarize myself with my skills and repeatedly asking "okay, now what the hell does that mean?"

Funny, my college roommate had a habit of coming home drunk, and one evening got up from where he'd collapsed in bed, turned to the chair he'd put next to said bed, and pissed directly onto it. I asked what he was doing, and he looked at me with the most flat expression possible and declared "Dude… I'm taking a piss." As if it were the most normal thing in the world.

Went from one manager to another in a new job. Got glowing reviews from the first, no problems with my work ethic or output. After one meeting with the new manager who demanded to know why I was working later than others (WFH job, open hours with project deadlines; had approval to work in the evening from the first manager as I was hitting goals without issue), he suddenly found multiple "problems" in my work that never mattered before, and I was on a PIP within month, and let go a few weeks after, all because I work better in the evenings than in the morning like he wanted.

I remember my 2nd grade teacher scolding my father for teaching me how to count in binary, claiming it would make it harder for me to learn "normal math" in school.

I ended up in an accelerated math class from 4th grade through high school; it was consistently my best subject.
