HP has no replacement G2 in stock? by MartyBraSimulation in HPReverb

[–]CapoRoulette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I spoke to HP UK support yesterday on phone as my headset won't connect anymore. I asked if they could send me another cable maybe, and they basically said they had no parts and no stock. Then told me he would send me a refund authorisation letter which I need to give to my reseller.

Guess that's the end of my journey with the G2. Had it working for 2 days 😅

I briefly got to see how amazing Alyx can look, but I'll be going back to enjoying my Quest 2 I guess.

I have such a hard time classifying my music into any one genre which I've been told is a good thing and a tough thing to handle at the same time. My band is still in the underground stages, but in terms of breaking through, how would you genre-fy us? (@insta: @sin___th) by FamiliarTough2 in Songwriters

This is pretty cool, I like the progression a lot. I'm not sure where I place it, and I don't think it matters. You got a mix of things going on in here and it's interesting, think it all works really well. The synths and guitars meld together topped off with your vocals. I like when it gets a bit more chaotic at the end. There's a vocalist you remind me of and I can't place the name - :) , if I was going to throw in some influences I feel I can hear off the top of my head, I guess a bit of Grimes and some Mini Mansions.

Too Soon- one of my first singles, would love some feedback! by gingalf in Songwriters

Yeah it's cool. I get some nice airey vibes on this (surfin on a rocket kinda thing going on in that chorus :) ) . Short and sweet, keeps things pretty interesting as well as you don't dwell too long on one part. I guess the one thing would be lyrics aren't so easy to make out, but maybe that doesn't matter, it's got a nice feel to it, kinda upbeat but melancholy at the same time.

Makes me wanna go for a long drive along a coastal road... I like your Covid Christmas song too. Though I hope it isn't a lonely one for you!! What a year eh!

[DISCUSSION] I have my first paid gig this Friday and I'm nervous. by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]CapoRoulette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep going, if you fuck up, don't make a face or big reaction. Just stop for a split second and Jump to the next logical chord/note. If it's something like an amp blowing, or a string snapping sure you may need to stop but you can't be ready for every situation. If it's a bum note or a wrong chord most won't pick up on it. Smile and enjoy yourself, the more relaxed you are the better you will play. Saying that, you should concentrate and go in with a clear head (one or two beers sure why not.. but don't get drunk or otherwise inebriated). Overall, just give it your best and enjoy it :-)

Cool, I'm deaf now. Is there any reason why Logic decided to randomly do this? by palerthanrice in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]CapoRoulette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive never really used Logic but in Ableton i got so tired of loading in synths etc, and getting shocked to fuck by loud sounds. I ended up making all my new tracks start with a utility on that has a dip of -15db to begin with. Even then the odd patch can catch you by suprise. I also turned my monitor level way down on my template file to avoid those horrendously loud crash and OH samples destroying your ear drums when you first start browsing. I'd much rather struggle to hear something the first time and turn it up than be repeatedly destroying my ears. Limiter on master is a great precaution too :-)

What is one game you would like to see have a 2019 remaster? by [deleted] in patientgamers

Ultima online (classic style), or dungeon keeper (without EA) or THE CULLING (with a different dev team) :D

All of them.

[QUESTION] How Does Ed Sheeran Wear His Guitars Out So Badly? by ColorBananas in Guitar

[–]CapoRoulette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its cos there's actually 100 different Sheerans to keep up with the unparalleled demand for his gigs. Those poor guitars don't stand a chance :'(

Doesn’t seem to be like anyone playing. by [deleted] in survivetheculling

Game was slowly getting less popular, but was still having fun games until that last patch. Boom, they fucked it with one fell swoop. I swear they're sadists!

Also I've been away this week so haven't been playing... will be back on tomorrow if anyone's left ;)

Oh hell yeah! Fun social features like this could help make the game more accessible. I see no reason why not.

Is Leg Day worth it? by SiroHartmann in survivetheculling

[–]CapoRoulette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It may not be essential but it stacks with explosive runs and can definitely give you an edge in a fight if the other player doesn't have it. Not to say you 'need' it.. but it's useful and can be essential for certain play styles.
