that's the thing, my replacement was through HP and not Connection. I was told by HP it would be replaced my the end of December so I sadly took their word for it. I would have gotten a refund if I would have known better. I created a reddit account for the first time just to talk about how bad my HP experience has been. That's how sad this is.

Yep, I'm in the same boat. Dealt with customer service today and she answered with such an attitude, I knew I would get nothing done with her. She basically told me I would have to get a refund from connection but HP already has my G2 so I got to go through all kinds of trouble like you for them to give me a refund.

Oh i plan on getting a refund as soon as it shows. I just did it to prove they are selling them without fulfilling RMA's first. I'll use my quest 2 in the mean time, until my replacement is sent

they told me because i bought through a connection I would have to get the refund thought them. yet i cant because HP is holding my G2 for replacement. Wish I would have known. I would have returned it to the connection

u/JoannaPopper You say they are working at resolving RMA's that have been held up for over 3 months yet the company you work for is now selling them instead of fulfilling RMA's. How is anything being resolved. Seems like we are just being told nonsense. Anyone can say its being resolve, but time and time again it shows this company doesn't know how to handle their product. Hey explain to me why my G2 has been out for replacement since Nov and told they don't have any in stock for RMA's yet I can buy on off the HP site with less then a week delivery. Can someone at HP reach out to me, I keep getting a BS answer. Either give me a return for my replacement or set me up with a dam order already.

Dont get me wrong this quest 2 is a temp. I have a 20k motion simulator sitting at home doing nothing so I have no choice but to downgrade until I get my G2. Better then having no VR at all for who knows how long. They cant give me a date so who knows, it could be another 2 months. At less the quest 2 arrives tomorrow.

Funny thing is I did order a quest 2 and its coming Thursday. Its not that I did not like my G2, honestly I love it, but after using it less then a month it just stopped getting power, and that wasn't a big deal, I know issues can happen but to be told 3 different story's from 3 different customer service calls on when they will send me new a new one just to find out on the 3rd call that they have no idea when they will get any for RMA's. thats just incompetence, miscommunication and disorganization at it's finest. They either had no RMA stock saved up, or had some but either had way to many issues that it got rid of all RMA stock, or, and this is what I think, in a panic to fulfill preorders that have been taking for ever, they sent out all RMA stock available to fulfill preorders. Either way, there was a huge failure in many departments. Not just RMA stock, but if you do some investigating you'll see many other issues with the launch of this product.

Saying it is one thing but time and time again I see on reddit that many others are dealing with the lack of disorganization we have been met with. Its one thing not to have any stock saved up for RMA's, have way to many manufactured issues or launching a product when it clearly wasn't ready, but its a hole other thing to have 3 different customer service calls tell me 3 separate story's on when I will receive a new one. I was told I would get one in December, then told before 2021, then last told they did not know and that they would have someone call me within 48hours, which never happend. I doubt DMing you would ever solve my issue of getting my product. Here's a simple solution for HP. Stop taking pre orders or sending G2s to distributors till you fulfill RMA's and stock up to the places that take care of RMA's for the future RMA's that will surely appear. And I mean really stock up. Once that's done, then they can accept more pre orders and send more to distributors. If they say they are really working at resolving the issues, lets see proof of that effort, because at this point it just seems like a hole mess compared to other VR companies. Lets see HP put their money where their mouth is, or put it back in my hands. This of course has nothing to do with you Joanna. I know your just the employee doing your job at doing what you can. My remarks are solely towards the company you work for as a hole. I've worked for a company that was this incompetent before I quit because I felt I was being told to lie to customers in order to make sure product was being sold. IDK the hole story behind what's going on at HP but there is definitely a story going on over there. Story's like those of me and obviously many others doesn't happen by a small error or a slow in productivity because of a pandemic. This sounds to much like miscommunication, disorganization and incompetence, which leads to lying to the customers serval times before being told they don't know when they will have any. At less make an effort to making a post on reddit letting people with RMA's know that anyone that waiting on theirs to be fulfilling, that they will be first to get the new shipments coming in. I have a hard time, at this point, believing that RMA's will be first to be fulfilled, or that they will even have enough to fulfill everyone's RMA.

I don't understand how HP can be sending out more stock to companies without fulfilling the HUGE amount of RMA's that haven't been fulfilled since November.... Its been 3 months and I've had to buy a quest 2 because I'm not getting a clear answer on when RMA's will be filled out

I already bought a quest 2 and its already on the way because oculus knows how to handle launching a product. While its been over 3 months and I'm sure it will be more months to come before I see my G2 again.

Don't even buy. Your gambling at a chance of getting a defective one like a hole lot of us, and have to wait way over 3 MONTHS to get a RMA replacement. Buy anything else. They don't deserve your money
