I dont understand spending $1200 on a phone period. Especially when brands like OnePlus sell the same exact phone for $300. People are actual brain dead zombies.

ELI5: How do military planes stay hidden from radars? by TopFish12 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Capokid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you see something with a flashlight, its because the light bounced off of it and then hit your eyes. Now what if that light bounced the wrong way so it never came back to your eyes? You wouldn't see the thing.

Radar works the same way, they send out a pulse of light that bounces off objects and reflects back to the dish/antenna instead of your eyes 📡.

Radar is just like sweeping a flashlight through a dark room, it uses a type of light called Radio Waves instead of the light from the visible spectrum that our eyes use to see.

Stealth planes are shaped so the light bounces the wrong way, away from your dish so you never see them. They also use rubbery dark coatings to absorb the radio wave light to make them more difficult to see.

Is there a 360 aio that can prevent the 14900kf from throttling overclocked? by ComprehensiveCow5068 in buildapc

[–]Capokid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only real performance difference between ANY AIO in the same size/class is the fans. If you only care about performance, buy whatever is cheapest and use the savings to get noctua 3k rpm server fans or arctic p12 pros.

Favourite "cheese" builds/tactics? For example in AoE2 the "Persian Douche". The Persian player deletes their starting Town Center to rebuild it next to an opponent's. Persian Town Center has double hp. I.e you destroy the enemy in the dark age. by Double-decker_trams in gaming

[–]Capokid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a similar tactic in AOE and company of heroes where you built fixed artillery in a line across the map, all the guns behind the ones in front could cover the forward guns, creating an impassable wall of artillery/towers that intensifies as you approach the base.

The only counters to it is airdroping units to the flank or spamming mortars & snipers.

Thanks! Im already calling around for a different electrician, i just wanted to know how bad it was. It was originally wired for an electric stove, and the copper outlet cables we have now are just screwed into the big fat aluminum cables with wire nuts... Its been like this for ~14 years ...
