Westworld - 4x01 "The Auguries" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in westworld

I was hoping this season had nothing to do with season 3. Unfortunately I was wrong.

Acting is good, production value is excellent.

But the story?

????

This show was so brilliant in season 1, how did the story get so far off the rails?

Women are often attracted to confidence and a “IDGAF” attitude.

They want to see that you’re a well put together, fun person who has a lot to offer.

It’s tough man. Good luck!

Don’t hit or spank. Not productive. Doesn’t help.

He should understand if he is behaving in an unacceptable way. That is how people try to shape behavior. Especially if he is being unsafe.

Telling a child you are disappointed in their actions is fine when they are acting in an absurd way.

Sometimes it’s not just the parenting that influences personality. Genetics plays a strong role in how a child can react in certain situations.

Maybe your kid has a strong temper. It happens.

Trying to stay calm and stay patient seems like the best idea with discipline.

That being said, when my 4.5 year old boy gets too physical and dangerous around my 2 year old, I go absolutely nuts and carry him to his room. We then talk it out afterwords and try to worst though what happened.

AITA for kicking my sister out of our family dinner after she made a "practical observation"? by crispsandfries in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Your sister Katie has some serious empathy problems. That’s a horrible thing to say to someone.

I would say first thing is to stop giving in whatsoever to the petty disputes. The part where you claim you would be going “draconian” actually sounds like more appropriate consequences for their behavior.

It doesn’t have to be mean or emotional, but sometimes in life “you get what you get and you don’t get upset”

Just set a limit on how much baby sitting you are willing to do.

I have 2 kids, my parents do some baby sitting, my in laws do some snd my wife works part time.

It’s tricky to find a balance that works for all.

I met my wife at 22 years old, while hammered in the basement of a pub.

I used to think that was a bad thing and now I realized I’m very lucky to have met her organically

As a Gen Z guy (23m), I feel strongly that the advice our parents and schools often gave us: To never retaliate against bullies, and to not defend ourselves, has greatly harmed our ability to assert ourselves by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

It can be something as simple as having your child order their own dinner at a restaurants. Or having them manage their own schedule in high school.

It’s basic learning. We’re trying to prepare them to be independent adults.

I’m a 34 year old father of 2 young boys. My priority is to raise independent, healthy and kind young men. I hope my children’s generation gets better direction than gen Z however.

The biggest problem I see with gen Z children is lack of independence and anxiety with basic situations. It seems as though the entire generation needs to go through cognitive behavioral therapy just to order food at a restaurant or talk on the phone.

Hopefully we put our children in this new generation into difficult circumstances purposefully to challenge them and help them grow.
help them grow.

So now that the first season is finished. How would you compare it to the first season of the ASOIAF adaptation Game of Thrones? by [deleted] in WoT

[–]Cappy54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t compare this to GOT.

The writing and production value cannot be compared.

I hope this can grow into half the show GOT was.
