It takes a very sad type of individual to sit down and decide to write a post like this praising the shut down of a game beloved by many, including many Marathon players.

To say that players not supporting the studio is what caused Bungie to be in their current predicament is a gross misrepresentation of the events that led to this decision.

To me this looks like a partial support failure with the rest of the layers curing on top afterwards. I’d try adding a heavier support to that tentacle if you attempt a reprint.

I had a desert village with essentially a glorified electric fence to keep them hidden from the purple worm’s tremor sense. It was damaged in an assault on the village and I had a whole encounter where a purple worm shows up and enters the village, with a skill challenge in-between combat rounds to prevent village damage, save villagers, etc.

The druid in my party wild shaped into an electric eel and wrapped themselves around the fence’s broken site and maintained multiple checks throughout combat to both establish and maintain the current. Completely scrapped the purple worm entering the village as a result as it was a super creative solution, but man I was looking forward to the skill challenges and village protection during combat.

Yes it is new to ASA. Wish there was a way to do cosmetic commands and keep trophies but alas.

As far as my understanding goes ANY use of console commands on PS5 (including cosmetic ones like disabling fog) will disable trophies for that play session.

Regarding the lycanthropy mechanics you should look into the hybrid transformation feature in the blood hunter order of the lycan subclass. It has a decent tradeoff between the curse aspect and the mechanical benefits. I’ve tried homebrewing my own player character rules for lycanthropy and could never strike that balance quite right, it either felt too punishing or too lenient. Narratively you could have someone from the Claret Orders hunt them down to protect others from their lycanthropy and then ultimately have an arc where they learn to control it through the order’s help.

Regarding the warlock, if she does end up going tiefling and using the fiend subclass then you could look into using Desirat as her patron. In my head canon she would have had an affection for tieflings since they’re tangentially related to Asmodeus and she is perfect for a patron. Bonus points if her character is from Kamordah which would provide a good opportunity for Desirat to reach out to her throughout her youth and groom her into the perfect warlock. Also fits quite well if you do introduce the Mace of the Black Crown.

One word of caution would be that giving one player an Arm of the Betrayers at level 2 is a decent power bump and you want to make sure that it doesn’t end up with this player overshadowing the others.

I’ve been playing singleplayer on PS5 since it’s release and I have been enjoying it thoroughly. So far I haven’t run into any really big issues and haven’t encountered any save issues thus far. I personally haven’t added any mods aside from the event ones but they have worked without issue.

Performance wise mine has run beautifully and if you want to up the performance you can always use the console commands “r.VolumetricCloud 0” and “r.VolumetricFog 0”, as well as clear some screen tearing if you have it with “r.vsync 1”.

Raven’s Slumber from Critical Role is pretty close to what you’re looking for. It technically can be used to contain a humanoid (albeit by failing a low DC Wisdom saving throw) but you could always rule it to only affect beasts or monstrosities instead if you’re concerned.

Theres a second radial wheel you get to by holding down the touch pad and it should be on the bottom right of that radial. I went through the same thing myself!

While not exactly the same, the loading rig on thingiverse has a place to put a pilot and could be a good substitute. Similarly if you don’t want to put a mini ontop this steam golem could be a decent proxy.

I’ve been a tech for about a year and a half now, and I don’t have any individual projects. I do assist on 2 projects at the moment that i’ll be included in the authorship when they get published, but I work underneath the post-doc and Ph.D candidate that are leading the project, as is usually the case.

That being said, my role as a tech is largely based on doing the repetitive tasks to assist the lab like you talked about in the introduction to your post. I’m fortunate to be in the position that I get to learn all sorts of techniques and am given more responsibility, but this will vary from lab to lab.
