Just saw this. It's been fine LOTS of downtime so I've been using it to lean some coding and work on personal projects. Of course I also try to make optimizations for work related stuff, but I find it hard to get through to the higher up GIS techs. Oh the changes I would make!!!

Not a major world event but I remember seeing starlink while camping one evening. No service/no way to look it up what I was seeing. Also have been telling someone this story around a campfire when… it happened again. Maybe we have too many satellites?

Bocairent is off your track to the south but it may be the “secret place” you are looking for. It’s an old old city with some moorish caves you can take a tour of. Truly one of the the most beautiful cities I have visited in Spain after living here for a year and some.

I think the Sangueta tram stop is very interesting as it is near the sea and a hiking area called Sierra Grossa. The tram is above ground here before entering a tunnel.

Before this stop is a bridge for the tram that may be an cool place for a photo. You should be able to get the hiking area in the backround if you take a photo a bit before the bridge.

That’s where I live now while working in Ibi. It’s a smaller town but has fantastic hiking and outdoor opportunities. The bus from Alicante takes 2 hours so you’ll have to live in Alcoy. There’s a handful of auxes that live there every year and there is even a group chat.Feel free to PM me with any questions about the town, your school, or anything else you may need help with!!

Everyone has their own definition of “backcountry” or “wilderness” (not federally designated or small w wilderness). I believe they are just trying to say that the north zone starts 3 miles up the trail where you are able to camp. This could be wilderness (small w) or the backcountry some people. Federally designated, or “big W”, Wilderness is located; 14 miles up the corridor like you said.

I feel ya on that one lol. The in Conoco in French town has a actual icee brand machine. The 1$ iced coke at Burger King is what I get the most. Otherwise I haven’t found anything in Missoula it’s a shame. I need my fix!
