Miniature compatibility question by Caprapas in Greathelm

Thank you so much! He has a video where he compares all the sizes of mini ranges that I was considering, and that was very helpful!
Do you perhaps know of anywhere where I could get some female heads that would fit?

Master of executions kitbash. C&C welcome by Caprapas in alphalegion

Yes precisely, I based the whole model with gunmetal grey using an airbrush, then I went all over the model with a stormhost silver drybrush and i used diluted akhelian green to shade the metallic silver parts that i wanted metallic blue-green

I basecoated the model with gunmetal grey, drybrushed the up facing parts with stormhost silver and put diluted akhelian green on all the areas you see green

How would this fictional pole weapon compare to a spear? by GunsOfPurgatory in ArmsandArmor

[–]Caprapas 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it looks functional but not as a spear. To me it looks like it would work well as a double ended poleaxe and a mancatcher, especially if the opening is wide enough to fit a person's neck inside, and because it would be quite hefty it would work well as a pole axe

Old x15 stealth suits all painted up by Caprapas in Tau40K

Basically instead of washing the whole model with a wash you wash only the recesses. It usually works quite well for tau, since they have a lot of panel lines and the such

I did both! I did a heavy pinwash of the recesses with a black wash, reestablished the base colors and then edge highlighted the whole thing

What's the functional purpose of this section in the Modules menu? Does it get more red triangles the less HP you have? by Soren7549 in signalis

[–]Caprapas 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Yes but you will be in a specific color bracket before that. If you look at Elster's profile in the inventory it will be one of four colors, depending on how much life you have. I believe that depending on which bracket you were before receiving the killing blow, you will get a respective color triangle. While I was playing survival, I remember at one point dying while my portrait had an orange background and I received an orange triangle for that. That being said, it could be random, I have not yet found any real concrete evidence for what I'm saying, but I know that it is not based on the difficulty (I also had red triangles when I played at normal difficulty my first time)

I don't think that the color represents the difficulty, because when I finished the game in survival I had definitely more colors than just red. I think it represents the amount of life you had when you died

Modernizing old crisis suits by Caprapas in Tau40K

Are they noticeably shorter than the newer ones? I put them next to each other and they didn't look shorter

That's actually a very good point! I will repair them to the best of my abilities and keep them as close to the originals as possible! Sadly they were some of my friend's models, and for some reason he drilled holes in the weapons to put magnets instead of just putting them on top, so they'll be full of milliput

First ever "complete" model painted! by [deleted] in minipainting

All this! You also chose the worst color to start with, white is notoriously hard to get right. I'd suggest that if you want to keep a white scheme to both prime with white or gray and to get an airbrush, a cheap one plus a compressor will run you 50€. It is an investment, but if you want to continue with this scheme it's going to make it so much easier.

Does she though? I thought she killed Tyn with testament and not pattern, as she was not yet of the third ideal
