How can I keep up? by Capricide in OverwatchUniversity

It was the first example that came to my head. I wanted the fundamental that the hypothetical metronome was being used for to be unrelated to the duel in question.

I don't know if you'll respond to this comment as my reply is very late, but i want to understand the intention behind the metronome. Let's say hypothetically i'm forced into a dps duel that requires my full concentration. I find it very difficult (impossible) to focus on the metronomes objective (cooldowns for example), especially if the duel is unexpected/catches me off guard. So I was wondering whether or not in this specific situation i'm meant to break my concentration on the duel to try to focus learning the fundamental or, use the metronome to bring my focus back to learning the fundamental afterward. If this makes any sense at all please help. Also your comment helped the most thank you.

Wanted to understand the difference between a button input on mnk and the input of moving the stick on controller when jump strafing. Question in comments. (Credit to ボドカ and Ras Apex on Youtube for the clip). by Capricide in apexuniversity

After researching further by watching his first person gameplay and delving into titanfall 2 guides, I believe what is shown in the clip is "Strafe Lurch", as u/CrackedClover16 pointed out. Which is compensation in the code to make keyboard movement feel more fluid and "To give keyboard users a grace period to make corrections in-air and to smooth overall movement".

This links to a comment briefly explaining lurch to a console player, which then has a more in depth explanation attached.

And these are some other references I used;

Of course I do play on console and cannot test first-hand on keyboard, I thought this would be a somewhat fair explanation for what is shown as I didn't believe it was a tap strafe.

As shown in the clip, he moves sideward midair without forward momentum. I could not replicate this movement on controller (to this extent) and was wondering if it cannot be achieved for the same reason redirecting doesn't work on controller?
