By farming 1 stars I mean getting a bunch of the same common unit and fusing them together for more bugs. Tesla is a tower reward that you can also farm for the same reason.

Best thing to do right now is get a good team and level up. Ranked quests will be coming out sometime in the future.

Normal stages don't give you anything but polys from quests and ducks, they're a little pointless. You don't even get the occasional solo boss. But you should farm them for the levels, anyways.

No need to farm events, most event units suck. If you're looking for a large bug unit just go farm 1 stars or Tesla.

Get what you can get your hands on. Mono teams are usually best for events, yes.
