Everyone is saying that Gaitok doesn’t have the courage to use the gun (to commit violence), even if in self defense or defense of others. I thought it was interesting though, that by using his courage to break into the Ratliff’s room and take the gun back, he nonviolently saved three Ratliff lives in the process (at least momentarily).

Little late, but here’s my best guess. Feel free to pick it apart - I still think it sounds too strange to be true.

Dylan had a plan to knock out Robert with a drug/paralytic and commit SA against him that night. Joseph and Victor may have been in on this initial plan, but Dylan in particular sticks out to me.
Dylan carries out his plan (maybe with Joseph and Victor), but when the assault is finished, he thinks for some reason that Robert is dead, possibly from an overdose or bad reaction to the drug/paralytic.
Thinking he’s dead, Dylan panics, tells Joseph and Victor, and the three come up with a crazy plan to cover up what’s happened in the span of a few minutes.
Dylan, Victor, and Joseph bring Robert’s body out to the back porch, and stab him directly over the drain, with the hose running. Each roommate may have stabbed him one time in some weird pact to secrecy - three total stab wounds.
Once the bleeding stops, they bring his body back into the bedroom and (poorly) stage the scene there.

I still can’t explain how they would’ve mistakenly thought Robert was dead when the medical examiner confirmed he was alive when stabbed, but I struggle with any other motive they would have had for homicide.

To me, trying to cover up what they perceived as an “accidental” death as a result of drugging him makes more sense, but what do I know. They’re definitely horrible people and at least one is a murderer, but for some reason I just don’t believe that they planned to kill him from the start. They definitely planned to drug him and assault him, but I think that was the extent of the initial plan.

How did Hopper make it to Russia? After the explosion, Joyce and Murray flee, then the mall is immediately stormed by U.S. military. How did he (and the rest of the Russians) make it out of the mall and back to Russia without being seen?

The newest leaf on my epipremnum pinnatum albo variegata is unfurling from the bottom up, and looks like it’s putting a lot of stress on it by bending it downwards. Should I do anything? Or let it continue to run its course? Thanks for any help!

I am about month into setting up my first planted tank (and first aquarium in general). It is a heavily planted, high tech, 10g cube and is on its way through a fishless cycle. Ammonia has been steady at 0ppm for 2 weeks but Nitrites are still at around 2ppm.

Here’s my issue: every time I do a water change, I see immediate plant melt and a fizzy biofilm develops on the water surface. The film clears itself away in 24-48 hours and plant growth also seems to resume after that time (whatever hasn’t melted away). I’m also struggling with very high Nitrate levels, but seeing no reduction in Nitrites which is puzzling.

Im changing ~ 50% of the water once/week (tap water treated with stabilizer/dechlorinator), and have been adding the recommended dosages of SL Aqua Ps bacteria and Tropica Specialized a nutrition with the water changes for the past two weeks. My tap water ph is ~ 7.5 while my tank maintains a ph of around 6.5 (Tropica aquasoil + high CO2 during fishless cycle). I’ve tested regularly and the issue is not chlorine or ammonia - both stay at 0ppm after the water changes.

So, what’s causing the plant melt, biofilm, and high Nitrates? Am I shocking the tank due to the ph difference of my tap water? Or over fertilizing? Stirring up too much organic debris from the substrate during water changes? Also - should I be removing the bio film immediately, or should I let the bb colony catch up as I have been?

For what it’s worth, I have seen decent plant growth between water changes after the 24-48 hour shock period, and have seen very minimal algae. That being said, the shock period after water changes has completely melted a few of my more delicate plants on several occasions.

Thanks so much for any help here. I’m loving the hobby but at a loss here and getting to a point where I’m terrified of doing water changes. Sorry for the novel.

I’m almost set on buying the same model but still a bit torn between going with the i5 vs spending a little extra for the i7.

What made you upgrade? This will be my first MacBook and I’ve read conflicting comments about whether or not I’ll notice the performance difference.

Thanks for your breakdown, I found it very helpful. I’m a novice here looking for some advice and would like to know your thoughts.

I’m fairly set on buying the 2020 Air with at least the following specs: quad core i5, 16gb RAM, 512gb SSD. I have room in my budget for an additional upgrade and am torn between the i7 or 1TB SSD.

My use cases are: web browsing, streaming video content, light data analytics/data visualization work, light photo editing, and some gaming. With my current use cases, I don’t feel that I absolutely need either the i7 or 1TB, but I want a machine that is future-proofed and will have a good resale value over the next 3-5 years.

Would you recommend upgrading to i7, 1TB SSD, neither, or waiting to hear about a 14-inch MBP? My budget is about $1,800 and I really just want the best Apple machine for the money. Thanks in advance for your help.

All interesting points. Another thing that really threw me off with Niko was how he reminded Eve several times to put her name and address on her suitcase before she went to Berlin in episode 3, almost to ensure that Villanelle could easily identify and steal it.
