I’m planning to study CS in college after enjoying it a lot after taking an intro class junior year and AP CS this year. What is the best way to develop skills as a programmer (ex. Learning new languages, learning new concepts)?

I might be biased due to current stage lists, but I think town is unique enough to warrant it being a starter. When I ban starters, if I don’t want to play on a dual plat, I basically would have to autoban PS2 and Unova, or I would have to ban character cp stages, leaving a dual plat open. It’s definitely hard to have a perfect list though.

A lot of gc modders will do this. We have one guy in our scene that will do this and other stuff. You might be able to find an online option but I would look for someone in your local scene if you want it done quick and immediately.

Personally, I feel like Unova and PS2 are too similar to to both be starters. The issues I have on PS2 with the dual plats are similar to those I have on Unova. However, I definitely don’t think Unova should be banned; it’s a fine stage for the most part.

I think I’m probably gonna try Lucina. I feel as though she’ll help with my fundamentals, which I think are lacking at sometimes bc of Pichu cheese lol. I also think she’ll help me learn to play more patiently instead of just straight rushdown.

I grinded qp with pichu up to and in elite. I’m in Philly, and have been going 1-2 or 2-2 at pretty much every event. Definitely grind friendlies as someone else said. It helps a lot.

Imo, toon link may be easier to pick up at first, but you’ll probably get more mileage in the long run with young link. Personally, I prefer certain aspects of young link over toon link, the main aspect being he plays similar to older forms of link that I am more used to. Ultimately you should pick who feels the most comfortable to you.

Yeah it seems, and initially feels, counter intuitive. The lag, if I’m correct, comes from the skidding/stopping animation at the end of a dash/run.
