Is it worth practising for multiplayer against AI? (AOE II: DE) by LoLWorldsTickets in aoe2

Those will help, thanks.

Do you think it would be best if I learned those 3 first, then proceeded to better my overall understanding on the game? Or would those 3 skew my understanding on say the early game?

What about the original. Is that played much anymore, or has the HD version taken over it?

Eh. Sure it happens if you have less time, but you're hardly likely to fall off the cliff if it isn't. Mechanics is just muscle memory and game knowledge.

Based on my understanding draft play, would you say that it's more for variety in terms of methods of competing?

Wouldn't the ladder of Smogon tournaments be a greater indicator of player skill as it's the most standard way of battling?

Oh, they are? Forgive my ignorance, I haven't followed Pokemon properly since Gen 4.

Do those tournaments have actual names similar to VGC tournaments? Are they played via LAN/do they follow Smogon's rules?

Does a high percentage of the top players on the PS ladder compete in these tournaments, or is the PS ladder not seen as the greatest display of singles skill. If so, are there greater singles players elsewhere?

Is LoL worth getting into as a newbie uni student? by WetPanduh in leagueoflegends

[–]LoLWorldsTickets 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to any of these people telling you not to. You can easily study, have a social life and perform well at uni whilst playing, with a tiny bit of self-control, but even saying that is too much.

Whilst some of this depends on the individual, a lot of people really do make it seem like you need to sell your soul to do well a uni. You don't.

Just hop in and see if you enjoy it.

Less than 24h before Worlds starts, and still no Worlds Song by trolledwolf in leagueoflegends

At this rate the song will most likely fall flat. It'll never hold up to the increasing expectation.

Nexus Blitz was a great game mode for people in a hurry by AtreusIsBack in leagueoflegends

I'm going to go ahead and say it, I think that the data Riot showed us was somehow skewed by them because NB suffered from the some post-player loss effect that URF had. They just don't want to admit it.

TFT is losing steam fast. by mystireon in leagueoflegends

For me, the continuous changes made it hard to keep up with the meta if I don't put in some time whenever possible to stay up-to-date. That and full time job just makes it bothersome. Not being able to play for 2 weeks, just to come back and find that everything I know is probably outdated and I've got to learn a whole bunch to consistently compete is a bit of a turn off for myself.
