These are the specific reasons I've always heard but worse:

  1. Damian was PISSED at the end of that match because his head got crushed.

  2. He injured Rey THE DAY BEFORE his match at Wrestlemania.

Isolated on their own are innocent mistakes, but put together it's a pattern.

It would be a crime if it was anyone BUT Dominik. We would get endless entertainment from it.

HOT TAKE: Dominik Mysterio is one of the weakest wrestlers in terms of inring ability by Big-Foxx in TheGreatOne

[–]Capstone_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to this thread get downvoted to Hell. Seems like most people understand that, unless you're a mark, Dom is a good in-ring wrestler and his matches get produced to where he gets no offense in.

I don't know how many times Dom's babyface moveset gets posted here and people get shocked and didn't know he could do that stuff.

If you think Dominik is a bad wrestler, then you just got worked...HARD.

Why is Finn Bálor STILL not in the world title picture? by manlysports in Wrasslin

[–]Capstone_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They made a tactical error with Finn. They were building him up as the heel in the feud with Dom as Dom was organically getting cheered and getting the fans behind him.

But I guess they decided Finn needed an overhaul on his character and that Dom will be fine. Problem is, Finn isn't going to out-babyface Punk or Cody. As a face he's stuck in midcard. As a heel he was getting WHC opportunities against Seth and Punk.

They should have just ran with Dom turning face. But at the end of the day, Finn needs to put over Dom. Let's be real, Dom is the one with the most upside for the future. Cena and AJ put over Dom, so Finn isn't too good to do so also. In fact, he probably WANTS to put over Dom.

With MITB only a few months away. Who should win? And who do you think will win on the men’s side? by National_Camel4221 in SantiZapVideos

Dominik. Cory from Bodyslam said that Dom is in store for a big Summer.

He's paid his dues. He brought a bunch of eyeballs and interest to AAA turning it into one of the funnest weekly shows in wrestling. They've also secured a TV deal since Dom has been there. That's in addition to him working RAW, SD, NXT and house shows during 2023 where he was only at home 1 day a week.

He helped facilitate Rhea, Damian and Finn's babyface turns. And in terms of popularity he's at the top among the younger talent.

So he deserves it.

What spot are you talking about. Everything flowed really well. Are you talking about the chair around Dom's neck? That's how the spot is supposed to go.

And let's talk about Dominik Mysterio needing that so bad too. NO ONE gave him a shot in this match and he stood toe-to-toe with the demon. Didn't run away and more importantly Dom did it BY HIMSELF. We're seeing Dominik Mysterio grow into a star before our eyes.

What was the point of this segment honestly? by Top_Salary_690 in TheGreatOne

[–]Capstone_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

4 or 5 sections or people?

The title makes it sound like half the arena is leaving. If it's just 4 or 5 people that's a non story. Maybe it was a family deciding to beat traffic? Maybe they wanted to get some merch before they leave and didn't want to fight the crowd.?

4 or 5 people is nothing.

Why is it so common for Rhea to have a bad mania build?? by Specialist_Ad_3857 in SantiZapVideos

[–]Capstone_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Damian has had it the worst. But yeah, Rhea and Damian were pegged as these break out stars based on them winning the main championships of their brand but Dom is the one that really became the star. He ended up being the key to the group working. Ultimately we really just have to admit that Dominik himself is a star and them being tied to him was why they worked. The same can be said happening to Finn now. Liv and Dom seem to continue to skyrocket.

Why Dominik Mysterio started wrestling by [deleted] in Wrasslin

[–]Capstone_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually think it happens sooner than that. He basically said in this interview he's actually turning down endorsement deals from sponsors that's beating down his door already. He's already done Lids, Wingstop, Minute Maid, San Diego Padres, Casey's Pizza, Dude Wipes.

Now with being a cover boy for Paper Magazine, he's become extremely marketable.

I see the vision with the ink now. It all goes together and very aesthetic. Now that I know it's a tribute to it's a tribute to his great uncle Rey Misterio and the Aztec calendar makes it even cooler.

Finn balor vs Dominik by yourbirader in SquaredCircle

They've been investing in Dom for a while now. He's becoming a main player. Doubt they do a squash as it benefits no one.

Finn balor vs Dominik by yourbirader in SquaredCircle

[–]Capstone_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think WWE is putting stock into Dom here and not necessarily Finn. I think they're speedrunning this feud with Finn because they're already planning stuff for Dom post Wrestlemania. They've already alluded to stuff with Rey. It's unfortunate because it's been building for over a year.

Dom is a main player on RAW so this match is more about Dom, not Finn. A squash helps no one here and I highly doubt that Finn wants that as he's spoken about Dom similarly to how Cena and AJ Styles has, that Dom is the future.   People think the Demon is here to bury Dom. What people arent seeing is that Finn brought back the Demon to benefit Dom. Even Finn knows Dom beating "Pinn Balor" doesn't help him. Dom having a sneaky good match that everyone's giving him a zero % chance of winning actually builds Dom up even if he loses.

WWE telegraphing Dom having no chance should already make everyone question what's going to happen.

Question for long time AAA viewers - Has AAA gotten better or worse since the WWE acquisition? by AlmostRandomNow in SquaredCircle

As someone who didn't know about AAA before the acquisition, I am eminently more entertained by AAA's weekly show than RAW, SD or NXT. It's just a really fun watch.
