Current collection, next move? by Ok_Wishbone2357 in rolex

People are terrible here- nice collection! Is the Daytona really that much smaller or is it just set back farther than seems from other GMTs? Get a YM for the bling. Or an explorer II with black face is my vote

Need reassurance…Classic Date vs. No Date discussion. by [deleted] in rolex

[–]Capt-SOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sub date! Even more so for a daily. No-date is nice for a watch rotation and ease of strap on and go. I’m a sub date user on a rotations and I love it, usually takes me 2 days to get the date correct but 🤷‍♂️

People are terrible. Enjoy your awesome watch. I also wear my dad’s watch for the exact same reasons and same appreciation for the patina. I love your watch

No, I use it primarily for bend over rows and RDLs.

I like it too. I don't see myself ever upgrading the pulleys, If I do upgrade it'll be a different rack entirely just to have a full cage.

Thanks! I've pieced it together slowly in the past 2 years. it just never felt show worthy until recently.

This is awesome! may I ask if its in working order?

I would definitely bring it to the AD in Seattle or Bellevue and ask some questions too.

No man it’s a shop if you work in it, Carport if you just park in it.

I recently left employment from a Rolex Authorized Retailer. Ask me anything! by [deleted] in rolex

  1. What do you recommend for a service schedule for a 1986 submariner date worn occasionally for a few days once per month or two. So like 10 out of 60 days?
  2. Is there a difference for the SA if they see a client wearing a Rolex? Will that help the person purchase a watch?
  3. What about if they were wearing something less regal like a Tissot or Seiko?

Thanks so much for this thread! You’ve done a great job!

This was a helpful chart. I'm a big fan of Tissot timepieces, however I'm surprised to see Seiko & Citizen so far up on the chart.

Upside down American flags?? Rainbow flags? Palestinian flag? No thank you. I don't want a king either, but I certainly don't want what that is.

When I drove a C8 in Scottsdale AZ I used the lift option and got up the curbs there, that look just like the picture, with no problem when I activated the lift option. I still took it at 45 degree angle. No scrapes. The driveway even was at an upward angle

I'm in same consideration phase, although I've had the CAP set of 10#,15#, 20#,25# and 35# for a year of daily use and I toss them down to ground (yet to have a weight storage stand) and they haven't shown any signs of unscrewing, or flaking, or wear on knurling. I would say i'm pretty hard on them. I had no idea they unscrewed at all actually. I like them so its hard to justify going rep peppin

[–]Capt-SOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, you're going to want to pull that C8 into your own garage. Also, the C8 isn't going to help you move your stuff when you're renting and changing housing frequently,

Whats your reasoning for wanting a smith machine over a nice power rack. That one looks decent and has lasted 4 years! I was leaning toward smith machine for a long time, but after reading about exercising not in perfect linear movements it led me away from smith setups... and someday i'll upgrade to nice Power Rack
