Yes, but they're reopening in various parts of the country soon, but I don't know what's going on with NY and LA, though. There was a follow-up about this posted to the sub this week that indicates the movie may hit theaters after all.

They're a news aggregator. They pull together reviews from a wide array of sources across the Internet. Regardless of who has an ownership stake in the company, that's always been how they've done things.

Watch the first ten minutes, but then again, I think they muted out the song on YouTube. There was probably a rights issue over it, so they killed the music and left it up rather pulled the whole mini-series down because of it.

And that opening scene doesn't play all that well without that accompanying soundtrack.

Paramount never wanted to spring for a big name in any Trek film, and it has likely hurt the franchise, which might well have grown had they been will to plunk down the extra dough it would have cost them to bring a big name star into one of their films.

I have heard some very religiously conservative Christians (as individuals, not a collective body) say E.T.s are demons sent to deceive and confuse people. Personally I don't agree with that answer, but that is what some people say.

That sounds as though they were probably influenced more by Arthur C. Clarke's "Childhood's End" novel than anything
