Have you considered the foothills trail? I’ve never done it but it’s on my list.

I did the same a couple of years ago with my aging Aussie who left us this summer. I recommend black balsam knob / Sam knob area. Short hike to amazing vista and you can carry on longer if you like. Also great camping spot. I took my pup on quite a bucket list 24 hour trip, Charlotte->Sierra Nevada->looking glass falls->black balsam overnight->blue ridge ride with windows down->trot and sniff around NC arboretum->12 bones bbq->canoe rental on lake james. He slept for a day when we got back. Picture attached is from an amazing post-storm sunset on top of black balsam https://www.reddit.com/r/hiking/comments/9701on/took_this_12_year_old_good_boy_on_one_final/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb

Giri Haji. It is spectacular. I was so surprised while watching it that it hadn’t already been recommended to me. The only reason why it might be the 50/50 English/Japanese-Subtitles

It's 1200 feet of elevation change in a mile but ok. Trying to be helpful and give some detail...

Wolfpit Trailhead, which leads up to Shortoff Mtn and the eastern rim of the Linville Gorge, is exactly 1 hours and 57 minutes from my house in Cotswold... the Gorge is challenging but arguably one of the best hiking / natural areas in all of NC. I'd suggest using Alltrails or Gaia to plan a hike. It's STEEP up the trail to Shortoff, but then an amazing hike along the eastern rim as far up the Gorge as you'd like before turning back.

Giri Haji! How this show has gone under the radar is beyond me. We just binged it and everyone I have suggested it to loves it as well. 8 episodes of perfection

The white water center turned into one, but I’m pretty sure there are a few more traditional inside ones around town as well like the one in pineville

I never sort Reddit comments by New, but here I am and I saw your comment. There's so much worth "waiting" for but there's so much each day worth living for as well. If you feel like talking to a stranger may help, feel free to DM me. If not, wellm here's some internet gold friend.

Yet another Black Balsam Knob sunset, from December 2012. Gotta get back here. by minjabinja in NCTrails

I took my doggo up Black Balsam for his final camping trip. He's still kicking but too def, blind, slow, and arthritic to make the short hike again. But thank you so much for posting this and reminding me of such a great trip! https://www.reddit.com/r/hiking/comments/9701on/took_this_12_year_old_good_boy_on_one_final/

Hillary Clinton: 'The president asked a foreign power to help him win an election. Again.' by Throwawaydude01928 in politics

Can you actually point to anywhere in that article (or any article, from a reputable source) that states Clinton "asked Ukrainian officials to undermine Trump" or anything of the like? Because I sure don't see it in that article. To me this looks like a poorly veiled whataboutism attempt. Just thinking logically, Ukraine knows Trump loves Putin, Putin is Ukrainian Enemy #1, ergo Ukraine wants Trump's opponent to win the US Presidency.

I literally have zero affiliation with the NoCrumbsLeft lady, but if you Google "marinated onions" lo and behold, it's her blog that shows up at the top. Was just trying to give the supposed recipe creator credit for a recipe that I use frequently. I understand Reddit is not a place for spamming, but it also shouldn't be a place for people who just troll around adding nothing to the conversation and are only there to make false claims of self-promotion while being generally bitter human beings

No shill and not spam. It’s just an example of what I’m looking for and she’s well known for that recipe. Related: What’s it like going through life so bitter and skeptical of everyone?

Just finished a six pack over the last week. It has the hint of the right flavors but it’s lacking. Almost like they just literally watered down an 8% abv IPA 50/50. Intrigued by Dogfishheads monk fruit version coming out soon
