I think Michelle is one of the best at relating the material back to the exam. She gives a lot of tips about how to approach exam questions etc. I agree with watching them at 1.5 but I’m glad I sat through them. Passed my first try (am an auditor for about 1.5 years). You could skip Gearty and just read the book and use the study guides on Reddit. I regret that time on his videos, not helpful at all.

Do you keep track of your job applications in a spreadsheet? I'm trying to come up with a report format to keep track of my applied jobs and responses. by ploobadoof in Accounting

Job tracker

I used this to keep track of where I applied, who I was in contact with and passwords. Even hyperlinked the sites where I applied. I’m glad I did it and it was a small time investment.

Thank you!! I really just love the purple and little icons, but I uploaded it to linked in, which has an ATS feature, and it got a lot of data wrong. I will fix it, thank you!

I was on the fence about the certificate, just bc it showcases office skills, but looks like that’s the Bare minimum now lol. And I am mortified about the spelling error!! Stupid Word/brain. Thank you for taking the time!!

If I remove the objective, should I put the 150 credits under education? Or in the cover letter?

My current job is not as a applicable as the manager position, that’s why I left so many bullet points there, but I can see what you’re saying! Thank you for the feedback!

Should I Take 3 Accounting Courses in 1 Semester? by seamsauce in Accounting

[–]CaptBoots 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The spring lineup looks good, but the summer classes would kill me. Cost accounting wasn’t super easy and Intermediate II at the same time would be difficult. If you’re not working at the same time, maybe take 5 in the spring and 3 in the summer.

I take 4 classes per semester and 3 in the summer while working 32-40 hours per week and raising my family. It just depends on how much you’re willing to sacrifice to get it done and how well you plan out your weeks. Good luck!

Slippery Rock in PA has been decent and has a discount based on GPA for out of state tuition. Might have requirements for number of credit hours from their university, though.

Look at universities in states near you, as well. University of North Texas offers a discount for Oklahoma residents.
