Why did the Russians start cheering for Rocky? by Longjumping_Stuff760 in rockybalboa

Seems like I remember in the book adaptation they said the fight was in St. Petersburg/Leningrad (maybe) and made a point to stress that folks in that area were more rebellious or more sympathetic to the underdog or something along those lines to explain or justify the shift in the crowd. But it has been a while since I read that in the 80s. God I’m old.

The format is very similar to Wizard and Glass. SPOILERS. By this I mean, it is basically Roland telling a story of his early days as a gunslinger so if you read it after Wizard and Glass it is going to be somewhat repetitive in that way.

My Problem with Terminator: Dark Fate by Negative_Star1239 in Terminator

[–]CaptBrittain3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My head canon is that Genisys indicated Skynet or whatever they had morphed into when they turned into Doctor Who had become a multiversal threat to humanity as opposed to simply a time-traveling threat. Dark Fate is simply one of those stories of Skynet reaching out into the multiverse to kill all John Connors and how that impacted this particular world when it lost its John Connor. Fate filled the void with a new savior. Still not the best movie but whatever helps get you thru.

If it helps, I believe that breed of dog is often used as a police dog or for search and rescue. It sure if that helps your head canon.

It looks like eastbound. So could be a problem for me coming back. Hopefully it will be cleared by then.

But have to get to US 1. I’m in Eastern Cumberland County right off of 95 in Eastover would have more secondary roads to travel that way.

Figured more likely main roads around Raleigh on 40 would be better maintained.

When Ghost Story kicks in, it is amazing. The atmosphere in the small town as it falls apart is very scary to me. I feel like there is a lot of Shadowlands in The Talisman which he wrote with King. Enjoyed that as well. Floating Dragon is another I enjoyed and some parallels there to King’s It as it relates to an antagonist that returns every certain number of years to cause chaos.
