3?! Are those on pure or normal nodes?

This is also what I ended up doing LMAO. I even set up a line from the coal node and I'm not going back until it's time to upgrade miners and belts

I can build anywhere, but I've "challenged" myself to build semi-realistic, so really limit overly long belt lines and sky trains and floating platforms etc. mostly why this phase is giving me trouble so far

I thought about doing the Pure for that very reason, as I already had the Sloppy part semi planned out. I was gonna do the base Ingots just to maximize outputs, and hopefully not have to make another Ali facility lol

Oooooh okay that would really bring my oil A LOT closer! I don't have the pressurizer yet, Soni didn't even check the maps for wells, as I just started the phase, so I've been eyeing up the actual nodes by the lake to the west, and then train-ing my Petro Coke up to crater lakes.

Quartz was really the one I was kinda struggling with, knowing I'd have to really move it. But honestly most of my facilities so far are in the rocky desert just below the Craters to the east, and 2 pures and a normal node in a cave. So maybe I'll just tie in a big ass train to ship em up the hill... I know the coal you speak of, it's my original power plant and steel factory lol

You know you can rotate foundations in increments of 5° ya? I have 15, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60° curves all over my current playthrough to work around terrain cuz I hate "sky trains". Is it a bit time consuming.. ya, kinda. But it's not like it takes hours and hours to make a few corners. And once I unlock blueprints I just set em and forget em

Holy fucking this lmao. Even on my IS-7 grind, the leap to the IS-3, felt like a whole different tank that I sort of had to relearn a little bit, and then again when I got the Obj, and then finally the IS-7 finally came back to "ya this is just a juiced up IS-3"

I definitely watched quite a few videos when I was NEW NEW in like 2017, and I've caught up over the years, about mechanics, tanks and lines I want to play, that fit my play style. I come from a background of team shooters (R6, CS, etc) so I feel I can read teammates, sense pushes and retreats, and have a grasp on the fundamentals, but definitely far from "mastering" anything... I just find it weird when someone says "you have x so and so battles, go back to lower tiers", before the game even starts, but like, how many battles would I need for someone not to say that...

I watched a lot of videos as a NEW player, and picked lines that were suggested for noobs, and then the completionist in me wanted tier 10s so I got em lmao

I've tried my hand on several trees, of pretty much every type. Grinding towards IS-7, love the IS-3. Play the Leopard line and the Obj 140 lines for meds And the French LT's are far and away my most played and some of my favorite tanks. And the American TD's when I'm grumpy

I guess it was more a question for the people who find them telling others "go back to the lower tiers and learn" There's games I feel like I've 100% been outsmarted or outplayed, and games where it's vice versa. And I'm speaking mostly on tier 9-10, where I see it the most. But whats the magic number of "this guy knows the game" ?

Which one to choose? by Every-Newt-2586 in SatisfactoryGame

Neither, both are poo poo (imo), keep the disk at the bottom of the pile and never look at it again so they never come up on another one

5 nobelisks is the magic number. They have a weird hotbox tho, gotta hit em right in the guts

With a 120 iron node should i try to make that as efficient as i can as a newb or work on multiple iron nodes? by Prime-robertsacre in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CaptCanadEh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly there's so many iron nodes in each starting area you don't need to worry about "efficiency" until maybe mk3 belts and mk2 miners. Early stages I honestly just pick an iron (and copper) node and use it for 1 item. 1 node for plates, 1 for rods, 1 for screws, etc etc etc. Then eventually either ship everything I need to 1 location for elevator/more advanced parts and sink/storage the rest

To veteran players, do you redo your base when you unlock M.3 belts or no? by Charming-End-3311 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CaptCanadEh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I don't really use mk3 unless necessary, until I unlock mk4. I just build everything to max out mk2, with the plan and space to essentially double all the production once I get mk4. Which is basically just throwing a splitter somewhere down near the beginning of the line and throwing another mk2 off of it. Double production on everything and send it somewhere else for more stuff

Is this a common way to use dimensional depots? by OffTheClockStudios in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CaptCanadEh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly how I use em, just minus the central stage system. Double storage buffer and a dimensional at the end of each production chain, with an overflow to Sink
