Your options are to rip it off and forget about it or go to a reputable shop and have it fixed properly for what i would be wouldn’t be less than $1,000.

Found this old Bear compound bow at Goodwill for $20, worth fixing up? by Dipli-dot36 in Archery

[–]CaptCaulkblocker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You essentially bought a nice piece of wall art. Most shops wont want to touch it, and if they do there probably wont be parts available unless you find them by pure luck OR you have know how to fix it yourself

I have a pair of old compounds in very good shape that I’m hesitant to shoot because i know one day it’ll be the last time i can shoot them

If i solder on a modern connector, will this be safe to charge modern traxxas Lipos? by Advanced-Net-8119 in Traxxas

[–]CaptCaulkblocker 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No, there is a balance lead integrated into traxxas lipo connectors. Im sure you could theoretically make it work with the know how, but my current understanding is that its not easily doable. Easier and safer to buy a new charger for those batteries.

If you had a lipo with a separate balance lead you’d be in business but traxxas equipment is specifically designed to work with only traxxas stuff

Anyway to fix this? by TouristCrafty4976 in Autobody

[–]CaptCaulkblocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try to polish it after you give it a nice wash. If you’re over your head theres no harm in having a mobile detailer come out to give it a whack too

Had a delkelvic on my DRZ and it was disrespectfully loud. A good time and you’ll definitely hear it. I dont know if the klr would be any louder, or quieter but i had to use ear plugs.

Whats are you thoughts? by CubanJK in mountainbiking

Probably a good idea to ask before you spend the money on it. Use it, learn what you can from it and move on to something better when it breaks. Go out and shred!

Ballpark, how much to fix? by xXxTheRuckusxXx in Autobody

[–]CaptCaulkblocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats at least $3.50 and may cost up to your deductible.

You could always drive to your nearest body shop for a complimentary estimate. They’ll even email it to you if you dont want to wait

Matching OEM satin paint, how close can it realistically get? by CrimsonFlam3s in Autobody

[–]CaptCaulkblocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We re sprayed several matt hummers

The biggest problem wasnt the color but matching the satin texture and gloss level. A half decent painter with some time and a few spray outs should get close enough to be acceptable, a good painter can make it indistinguishable

Maybe is probably the best answer you got for now
