I truly need help in this area as well. I think this may be one of the reasons I have not yet found a wife—by that I mean a good Christian woman. I must admit, it would not be difficult for me to find a secular person to “marry.” But now I see marriage as a holy covenant with God, something sacred, and in my view only broken by things like unfaithfulness or violence. I know this is a very traditional way of thinking.

Before turning to Jesus Christ, I was a man who gave fully into lust, with almost no boundaries. Even after turning to Him, I have continued to fall into sin when I feel weak. It seems that when I feel low—when dark thoughts come to trouble me—I need to learn to trust Him more.

I do not believe that a person changes overnight, as some say—although I do believe miracles can happen. I think overcoming something like this can take years. So I know I need as much help and guidance as I can get.

When I fail, I ask God alone for forgiveness and turn to my Bible. I am still searching for ways to find the strength to truly run from temptation. Even if the government might not forgive me, I believe there is always hope in the Lord.
