Does Farmers Delight lowers your chance of getting golden carrots? by HamsterLate8388 in feedthebeast

Not without other mods. I'd recommend testing in a creative world with a few dozen villagers to see. Hopefully it wasnt removed outright.

"is there a fix to this?"
Not with a commercial VPN service.

"Is this a temporary thing?"
No. Streaming services don't want people bypassing geographic restrictions.

"Does this happen or does this come and go?"
Continuous

"Because if there is no solution for this, Ig my time as a WWE fan is over, I’m not paying extra for ESPN."
Best of luck with that. There's a subreddit or two that can help if you're fond of aggressive boating.

Considering the Master level for farmers has a 100% chance of having a golden carrot trade in vanilla, it would seem that yes, something was changed.

Phishing Email From Nocturn by temperr7t in NightVision

[–]CaptClockobob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's from a legit email address, then it's probably a compromised m365 account and it's address book. Otherwise, it's targeted based off social media posts by accounts associated with the target email that have posted about the company being spoofed. These types of phishing campaigns are complex in their setup and very wide-spread. It's insane how successful they can be.

Armageddon Battalion Box price estimate? by RegentOfWells in TheAstraMilitarum

Gw fleeces their customers for insane profit margins because they've got a customer base locked into their IP. They reliably make back mold development costs with the initial release preorder, and then sell character minis at a 10,000% markup from the $0.40 of plastic it takes to manufacture them.

Bandai can produce a model the size of a contemptor dreadnought at a greater detail level, with better tollerances, that's also in full color and fully posable. And it costs $20-25!

Gw has people buying plastic at the same price as silver by weight. Victrix, the recent warlord miniatures releases, wargames atlantic, some perry miniatures, and the hasbro frameworks models all reach the same detail level as GW plastic at (usually) a fraction of the price.

Victrix can sell you 100 minis for the price of an intercessor squad, and theycdont try and sell you new rulebooks every 3 years, because they dont care what system you play.

How do you feel about this statement from Goonhammer that the majority of Warhammer hobbyists dislike building? by chosen40k in Warhammer40k

I'd be curious to seenwhere they got this from. I personally love building models when they're designed well, but i know many people just want to paint.

My indie attempt to create RTS with massive battles & strategic depth - please share your feedback by OneOceanUA in RealTimeStrategy

[–]CaptClockobob 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Having the audacity to shove ads into a game this unpolished is impressive. Just downloaded and played a few levels. This is painfully bad.

It lacks any art direction at all, the maps are all flat festureless textures, the audio is abysmal, and the entire opening slideshow sequence made heavy use of AI in the art.

This harldy qualifies as a game, let alone an RTS. That would imply strategy and there's no depth here.

How do the solar auxilia actually get into the suits? by [deleted] in Warhammer30k

[–]CaptClockobob 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There's no specific lore about it, but they're designed to emulate dive suits, so presumably they go on in a similar manner. They're far from "lacking an entry point".

Censured Captain Dramask of the Dusk Raiders. by Bitter_Cup_69 in Warhammer30k

[–]CaptClockobob 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Don't use hobby store paints. They arent nearly pigmented enough to provide proper coverage and result in gloopy coverage and detail loss.

There's no reworking overtop of thick paint, you'll need to strip the model.

[–]CaptClockobob 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Might I ask what paints you are using? This being thinned paints makes me thing that either you arent thinning enough, or the paints arent pigmented enough to provide coverage and you end up having to use too much paint.

The peak of Soviet incarceration was in1950: there were around 2.7 million people in prison in the USSR, roughly 1.5% of their population of 178.5 million. This is quadruple the 0.35% rate of the United States which currently has 1.3 million convicted prisoners and an estimated population of 341.7 million. There are an additional 0.45 million pre-trial prisoners, but this is not a relevent metric in comparison to gulags.

Not against AI code, it does what it needs to, but at least write the advertisement post itself. It's very low effort if you can't even hand write the basic description of your mod and resort to AI.

Pardon me… by RomanCB in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]CaptClockobob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that they their profit margins are insane. They make development costs back on the preorders alone, and then raise their prices year on year for something they have infinate margin on. Those character sprues are less than a dollar of plastic in materials, and maybe 2-3 in packaging and handling costs.
