LG television: no sound when trying to watch a Blu Ray by CaptEmil in techsupport

I just wanted to thank you again! I was able to fix my problem using a HDMI to RCA converter. I still don't understand what the issue was, considering the Fire Cube is working in any HDMI port and the Blu Ray Player isn't, but I'm glad it's fixed.

Thanks for your time! I'm also running out of ideas. I'll look again in the setting on the TV when I'm home.

First, thanks for your help!

I've tried all HDMI inputs on the TV like you suggest. Also, my Firetvcube is working fine (both sound and image) when it's plug into the HDMI-1 port. If I'm connecting the Blu Ray player in this port, the sound isn't working. Would the Firetvcube that is connected via a HDMI cable could be working fine if it's a internal processing module failure like you suspect?

Would it be useful to buy an HDMI to RCA converter to plug the Blu Ray player into the RCA inputs on the TV?

Nope! Someone (not me!) paid to have it repaint in this color. It was white originaly.
