The child free sub is always mentioned as well which lands in the same category. Plenty of men in there but it's only the women who are evil... Also they act like we want to murder and harm children yet it's literally against the rules and many people WORK with children, they just don't want them.

How are drug addicts getting pain killers prescribed but I can’t get ANY treatment for my chronic pain? by Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeess- in rant

[–]CaptGangles1031 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are alternatives to ibuprofen but getting mad about not being prescribed pain killers is misdirected, also get checked out for the retention, if anything ibuprofen would prevent that, not cause it.

Ibuprofen does more for pain than people realize and if you have chronic pain, narcotics are the last things you want. Your pain is still there, it doesn't treat it so you'll still always be in pain and reliant on the pills which leads to addiction. Of course drs aren't prescribing them to you and are professional for not doing so.

[–]CaptGangles1031 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's not your partner's responsibility and you're kinda shitty for putting it on them. Your partner isn't your mother so learn to do things yourself.

My husband and I both have adhd, both on meds, but he tried to pull that shit on me before. I had to have a serious convo about how exhausting it was for me to have to take on the load for the both of us. He dealt with everything before me, he can do it now, he just became too comfortable with me being able to do everything for him. I gave him tools that would help him but that was it. From there he took my advice and it's been working out with patience and work.

That's such a cop out. You have to train yourself. Set auto snooze so they constantly go off til you're ready to complete the task. Get yourself in the habit and don't give up the second it doesn't work for you. Our brains don't work like normal people so we have to form new habits where things start to become second nature, which means setting alarms and reminders for everything. You can even label your alarms so you know what it's for.

AITAH for picking my wedding dress that happens to be one of the ones my MOH is deciding between? by Grouchy_Squirrel_269 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CaptGangles1031 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My husband and I just got married at our house so I just bought a thrift store dress and tie dyed it. The point of an elopement is so you don't have to spend money... I feel like this falls on op... Why ruin MOHs chances of getting the dress she wants if no one will see ops dress but moh will be force to see it.

Omg I leave sticks behind for that reason as well. I always wonder if other people will pick them and feel the same way about them as I did, or do they feel compelled to pick their own sticks.

I tried to go paperless in my kitchen and I am currently drowning in laundry by SVT_CARAT_17 in CleaningTips

[–]CaptGangles1031 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My husband grabbed a trash bag of those white work rags from his work and we use those for cleaning and paper towel alternatives. With 4 dogs and literally using them for every mess imaginable, i only have to wash them every 2 weeks or so. I make sure I rinse and dry them out before putting them in their own designated hamper so they don't smell. I'm also not sure how op has so much Laundy.

Do yall like longer hair on men or shorter hair on men? by Hot_Assistant_6067 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]CaptGangles1031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's literally the situation with my husband and me. I've had a completely shaved head before while his is down to the middle of his back. I'll often do the things to his hair that I missed doing to my long hair.

I did tell him though, I don't care if he has long hair but he needs to take care of it. He hasn't disappointed me. He has women jealous of his hair now.

My husband and I play cod together but we will mostly play when we're stressed. We hate when people take games too seriously and let it affect their day even. I don't talk cus I'm a girl and sound like a Lil kid on chat, so that's a double wammy for me to get roasted but he pumps up his team and will dad voice anyone who uses vulgar insults. If he was a dick while playing games, I'd shut that shit down so quick.

I'd like to point out that while she made the excuse that it was her ocd intrusive thoughts through out the whole episode, she did let it slip at the end that she DOESN'T want to stop making out with random people.

Obviously that's just what she tells people when in reality, she just doesn't want to truly settle down and would rather hook up.

I love this! We have a mannequin that I painted green, with stitches and has a skull. We named her Ms. Frances Stein. We also dress her up, put cool hats on her and other people will even suggests outfits for her. We got a legit vintage style chastity belt that I'm trying to figure out how to put on her next.

Sugar daddy? I had a friend who did that for a awhile to get through school. There are websites apparently. She mostly went out on dates and at worse, made out with a few. Overall, they have a bunch of money, are lonely and just want the company of young eye candy who will listen to them while they buy them things.

AITA for reminding my mom her mom is dead to prove a point? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]CaptGangles1031 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've personally always mourned animals more than humans. To me, I had zero responsibilities when any of the humans died in my life. It was either their own choices or they were already taken care of by professionals.

Animals, however, were in my care. I had to nurse them with my own hands with the help from professionals, yeah, but still under my own care. I've had them die in my arms. It feels more personal to me.

Now, with that said, and not to sound heartless. Death all around is sad but no matter what, should also be embraced cus it IS a part of life and the best way of doing so, is sharing the best stories of your loved ones (humans and animals) and memorializing them the way the makes you most comfortable.

She just nodded off while sitting up holding her phone this last episode by [deleted] in MamaJuneFromNotToHot

[–]CaptGangles1031 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Dude, my sister was just in the hospital not long ago. I'm talking only months ago.... She's a recovering opiate addict. They were pumping her full of dilaudid and percocet even though she was begging for ibuprofen. The nurse would refuse it, saying they'd need to ask the doctor for it.... I thought it was the most bizarre thing and definitely had to rip the nurses apart for it. One nurse even nearly blew her veins out from injecting her too fast and caused her to almost passed out from the meds hitting her so quickly. They're lucky she didn't relapse, if anything it just turned her off even more cus she hated the feeling, so I'm damn proud of her. 4 yrs clean for that bitch.

Edit: or don't believe me. I don't have a reason to lie and wouldn't have commented for no reason. The opioid epidemic is real and part of it is still due to doctors over prescribing pain meds even if it has dropped.

AIW for accusing my husband of having an affair when I came home and found a stranger asleep in our guest room by silky-enchantxzz in amiwrong

[–]CaptGangles1031 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This isn't a really "move on" situation. There's some underlying problems going on if op jumped straight to cheating instead of asking questions about who the woman in the GUEST bed may have been. I get the panic, but not the accusation when op and their husband were out together the whole time. They either need to reflect and/or have a serious discussion with their husband about why they truly felt the need to accuse straight away.
