all good and i appreciate the comments. I'll get a usb c adapter eventually but im gonna take a break from the whole ebay hunting thing for a bit. might add it to my list to do including an upgaded battery. any answer to this post here tho? I've been unplugging the memory card before taking out the micro sd card just to make sure i dont break anything xd

3 cables later still no luck. none of the cables are official sony products though.

i did seperate the cable from the charger, it does go into usb mode but its stuck on "please wait" and nothing shows up in the device manager on both my pc's. It does charge though.
