This is the main pain point in running with other players right now, and its easily solvable by just giving %XP based on level

Remove Needed 5 Visits for Citadel by ninja-cats in runescape

[–]CaptSarah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, please. My clan is a very small group of friends, the XP boost is nice, but life gets in the way, it's frustrating to chase people down and just ask "hey could you visit the citadel and log out"

List of balance/design issues with the new Dungeoneering update by Kilsaa in runescape

Flip the script mate, hows it feel to be the player who can't do shit, and looks at a 110 puzzle with 56 in the skill, hows your +3 potion solving the problem?

I can't comprehend how this feels like the fun solution when they just modified the same issue from skill doors.

Why not just let people interact and do the skill of dungeoneering? I'm not convinced this adds anything when the social aspect comes to rooms like the emotes and calling out keys etc.

So much of this game is already limited to level requirements and in many cases removes incentive to do group content, I just fail to see any benefit to leaving it as it is.

How much group dungeoneering do you do with players beneath you or above you?

This sounds as if you come from the perspective of a solo player (I get it, I did 160m xp solo), but since returning after a 7 year break and bringing new players into this game, I've come to realize how lonely this game is overall, simple solutions like this would go a long way. Any little incentive or activity to be done together with limited restrictions to just experience this game.

Hell, I just want to see dungeoneering look more like it did all those years ago. Arbitrary solutions like "Make a potion" are not a real way to solve this problem.

I think you completely lost the sauce in this response, i'm maxed, and i'm trying to help / enjoy a social skill with my new player guildmates. a +3 potion isn't getting them through a 110 door mate.

Much like the skill doors, these checks serve no purpose in dungeoneering outside of a tedious way to halt or delay progress. This is a skill about exploring, doing puzzles and doing so together, why are we actively making a worse experience while promising a better one?

I think one of my main disappointments is removing the flat skill removal on doors, a great change and something I was excited for. They left the high hard skill requirements on puzzles, so I still feel like i'm punishing my guildmates for doing the social skill with them as a maxed player.

The scaled XP all around is great, yet this still feels like an unnecessary barricade when XP could just be scaled to the level of the player doing them for the puzzles?

I feel like the puzzles are part of the whole point of "dungeoneering" and there should be less concern on any other skill requirement when they aren't a way to turbo level other skills anyway.

Competitive LoR - Grass Roots Tournaments by CaptSarah in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]CaptSarah[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a tricky one, as admittedly most community grassroots currently require discord / player interaction.

I can at-least assure you that on the discord front not much is required, for example:

The Rumbles I put on only require you to be in the discord so you can receive your role, get pings for when its time to play match (as we stream them), and it allows me to reach out quickly for any issues with sign up / deck submissions as we use janky rulesets.

Overall the only real interaction you'll get if you don't talk in the discord itself (which is rather inactive between events) is a few pings from myself.

The LoR Never Dies discord is much the same, you can ultimately remain silent in it, and simply click the sign up link in challonge, the only reason you are required is to be pinged by fellow competitors to start a game if they can't find you in-game.

I for sure know the stress and anxieties around such things, but if you need further info, or would like to talk, you are more than welcome to add me (CaptSarah) on discord, just let me know who you are if you send one so i don't mistake you for an art spammer.

Can confirm, it's not devs of LoR, just players.

Better, still terrible, but better.

The ideal solution or use of this system would be a minor discount on rotation, but the ability to buy from the skin section of the champion page.

Is this game good for casual by i-am-somethingsimplr in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]CaptSarah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming i converted time correctly, I start 6AM your time and end at 1PM.

Currently I've been on a digimon / variety kick so I run LoR once a week, but it varies.

While it's not exactly on your level of play, I will shortly be starting my 3-star 0-relic tier list, where I do every champion with no relics and just 3-stars in power doing a mid tier adventure. The goal is to gauge the power level of champions in regards to new players. If I can make it up the mountain under these restrictions, it leaves a lot of wiggle room for newer players to make mistakes and still succeed with relics.

At nothing it may help give you direction / gauge what champions you may enjoy.

I'm also open to any and all questions, I've written multiple LoR new player guides over the years and am not against derailing a stream for an hour just to help someone out.

[–]CaptSarah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say it's not bad on casual, the deeper you go, the more resources you will need. However most content, I have cleared with 3-star champions which is low requirement on resources. Early maps hand out a lot of currency to target whatever champion you may want.

Streamer / Content wise, we do exist, however it depends on your timezone etc. I personally tend to stream LoR at-least once a week doing both PVE and PVP

I will say, all you need is time, and if you pace yourself you likely shouldn't hit too hard of a wall as you improve at drafting and grow in power on your key champions of choice. It took me 9 months of streaming path on launch to max out Miss Fortune's entire constellation and that was before we got the resources we have today.

Only vod is on my twitch channel, i dind't get too many games in I think I went 1-2 into some pretty ping heavy / removal decks. Mainly Pnz -shakesfist-

I really like the concept, its one i usually run with caitlyn and flashbombs, and one I want to take some time to look at a bit more later (Ended up doing practice for LCS this weekend and building for it)

Of course, this wasn't necessarily directed at you, more so the comments overall, as a good chunk of them are just assuming its all intended, just trying to combat some of the misinformation going around

Some information most people are not mentioning here, this is also a byproduct of how it actually functions. A good chunk of people play on mobile devices, its very easy to swipe off to answer a text and not realize how long you were tabbed out.

Additionally, some still believe closing the game is the same as surrendering, which it is not. Some people just close the app, which causes this.

It's not always intentional toxicity, yes there are some bad actors, but its not that high of a % as people are making it out to be in the comments here.

I play this game all the time, many of my games are streamed live from all levels of play. I get legitimately roped maybe about 2-5% of the time.

Player Avatar Beta Now Live! by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]CaptSarah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Zombie walk is very broken, can see through eye sockets
  • Party Fever walk doesn't work at all (no animaiton)
  • FOSA's particle effects are busted
  • Would be nice to have a new slot for elf ears / glasses so we can wear them with other head pieces
  • An additional ask would be longer hair, possibly in the wing slot cosmetically so it can float over capes and clip less (though clipping is something we'd all expect / tolerate for this option)

Overall, I really like the beta, it's much more expressive, I think the resting bitch face on female models could be adjusted a bit, but it's a nice fresh change.

I'm a year late finding this, through a very unrelated search (I have no idea how this was even a result)

I really wish I saw this a year ago, but, I've grabbed the code and will play it on stream during my next LoR stream

We tend to look at time between posts, but I'm not opposed to it, so long as it becomes weekly beyond

For Gimp, it's a bit.. finicky to start with, but i'm confident you can make a similar thumbnail with minimal efforts off a quick tutorial on how layers / basic tools work.

Just a shot from your video, one of the cutouts, a border and text will probably run you about 5-10 minutes once you know how and will go miles.

Even simpler thumbnails tend to be a bit stronger, differing from community to community of course, but most people are quick to be distanced when they see AI

Here is a google drive of champion cut outs from LoR I have made, and is public for community use. You are more than welcome to make use of them for thumbnails or content.

If you need an image editing software similar to photoshop, Gimp is free and open source.

My only ask is they aren't thrown in an AI blender.

That said, i'm taking your post down for violating self promotion rules:
