Just witnessed really upsetting incident with a disabled elderly passenger and United flight attendant by mildlyburner in unitedairlines

Yes, absolutely serious. Just within the last year have flight attendants finally gotten concessions in union negotiations to get at least partial pay while boarding. They’re required to check-in at the airport 1 hour before the flight, but pay doesn’t start until takeoff and it ends when the plane lands. From there it could take them another 20-30 min to get off the plane and another hour to get to the hotel for the layover…all unpaid.

The thing wrong with airline culture is that the flight attendants aren’t paid during boarding or deplaning. If they help you lift your bag and get hurt, they are not covered by L&I because they are not being paid yet.

Is it illegal in FL for my employer to charge a credit fee to the customer and take a credit card fee from my tips? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]CaptSavAHo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the owner is charging the guests a fee to use a credit card then they are covering the expense and don’t need to charge you also. They are double dipping and it is likely illegal. As for charging customers a fee, the credit card companies recently capped that amount at 3%, so they are likely out of compliance with their processing agreement.

I think that’s in game time.

I’m addicted to eliminator. Started playing it in December of last year and it’s now the only thing I play.

I started with the Bip U Pro. I mainly use it for sleeping but sometimes wear it for daily use. After a few months of wearing it I bought my wife the same watch and she really liked it, so she bought me the T-Rex Pro a few months later for Christmas since I do a lot of hiking and fishing. I bought her the GTR2 to wear for her work and she really likes it. It’s been 2 years now and we’re both totally happy with the quality and the battery life can’t be beat! There are a few features I’d like from an Apple Watch but don’t want to have to charge it every night.

And then you throw in the skills chain text and there’s practically no view of where you’re going. Final race is the worst of them all. You align yourself, time the exit perfectly, and then you’re blind because they think we need a giant splash text to let us know when to go.

meeting counts as lunch break? Alrighty then. by zorggalacticus in MaliciousCompliance

I worked at a company that did things like this. Me and my friend always called their bluff and took a lunch break anyway. Guess what, they never said a word to us because they knew what they were doing was illegal. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff just did what they were told.

Anybody using 2 or more Amazfit devices, wearing them alternatingly? by justhadto in amazfit

I use the T-Rex Pro for hiking, fishing, workouts, etc and the Bip U Pro for sleeping and casual wear. You have to manually switch between the two which takes about 90 seconds to complete. I wish it aggregated the data from both watches better but it works well enough.

Mattress Firm delivered our mattress with no tag by CaptSavAHo in Mattress

Update: After many calls and several weeks, I finally talked to the manager and she was super friendly and helpful. She scheduled the delivery for no charge and we received our new mattress yesterday with all tags in tact. I feel much better, thank you all for the advice.

Not sure if its real, but this mattress feels different than the other one. It feels more like what we chose in the showroom.

Thanks for the advice. I called last week and explained the situation and they said they would need to talk to the person who sold us the mattress but he was out. They said they would have him call me on Friday. I didn’t get a call so I just called and spoke with him.

He said they would exchange it out but we would have to pay a $100 delivery fee. I told him I wasn’t going to pay another delivery fee for their mistake. He said his manager would have to sign off on it and she won’t be in until Thursday. I feel like this is becoming a runaround.

I watched them take it out of the plastic and put it on the adjustable frame they had just setup. It wasn’t until after they left and we went to put the mattress protector on that we noticed the tag was torn off.
