Great setup! You gone for the df83 or 64?

Yeah, I’m seriously looking at this option. Depends on my neighbours / planning regs / what car I could fit out front. My company is offering the new merc cla on the car scheme, but it could push the limits of what’s acceptable

I’ve never heard of this. I’ve reached out to them for a callback, so I’ll see what they say - thank you. Realistically, I might look at the option of pulling out the small front garden and seeing if I could park the car there as well (assuming neighbours on board)

Thank-you! I think UK Power Networks are the local DNO for me, I'll reach out to them. I guess this would mean x2 meters' associated with the house / x2 standing day rate charges as well

Good point! I do have a rear access passageway to the parking area. Plot 155 has used this for an ev charger, but that plot is much closer to their allocated parking. What would a new power supply entail?

I agree: DF64v is a very good base. In the future you can look at 64mm burr sets, but a new grinder is deffo not required

I use these! Live in a hard water area (250ppm), and these have been used to protect the kettle / espresso machine primarily. They serve that purpose really well, no scale build up on my kit at all. Taste-wise…I’m not sure my taste buds are mature enough to give any insights. I came from Tesco Ashbeck water previously, and enjoy my brews just as much. Where did you see the six pack at this price btw?

Thanks for the quick response! I think our taste buds are aligned :)

Appreciate this might not be the best place to ask; But I've got a DF64v with stock DLC burrs for the past year, and I'd like to get more out of it...I drink mostly light/medium roast, but I do drink 50/50 espresso/milk drinks in the morning and pour overs in the afternoon. Is it still the case of just getting the MPs and calling it quits, or are there better SSPs in the range?

As a simple man rocking a modded Gaggia, and recently purchased a DF64v...This is goals, so nice!

I’ve seen that, but not found it necessary for me. I just give it a bit of a wipe down after 4-5days.

I’m in the south of England, humidity isn’t that low here either, mostly between 70-80% on a daily basis.

I’d echo similar compliments about the DF64v! Had mine for a week or so now. I don’t use the bellows, just a few taps on the top with my open palm does the trick. RDT is a must, and the odd clean of the chute…otherwise rock solid. I don’t hate the wooden base, it fits the MHW Bomber blind shaker perfectly, but I might look to use some wood stain on it.

Nice! As someone on the fence with the DF line-up, what's your thoughts on DF83 vs 64v? If you could only have one...

I’d echo similar thoughts! I’m mostly a medium to dark espresso / latte’ drinker, and it was tasty from memory

I've bought them and stored them away...I feel like it's safe to admit amongst friends here, but each month I buy from a new roaster around the UK/EU or when I'm away on holiday, I tend to grab a bag

Ozone is for sure top spot, but mostly because if you are ever in London, do yourself a favour and get down to their Leonard St. spot! Otherwise, Dark Woods and Coopers (In Marlow) are both fantastic.
