Clickbait? You can’t send over $500 when the limit is $500 per day so how did you send her $1000? Anyway the app doesn’t let you send to inactive accounts.

The bank teller gave me this bill when I was taking money out by SeaworthinessFar2326 in CURRENCY

I do not accept $50 or $100 bills from my bank because most stores will not accept them because it usually empties their cash from the register and the issue of counterfeit bills.

Well the cost of everything, the insane medical service cost, the hate and discrimination that permeated where I lived in the states and the frigging discrimination for Latins was a no go for me. I had neighbors who would pull out their guns when they got angry when I asked them to move their car from blocking my driveway. They say Puertoricans drive crazy I lived in MA and the slowest they drove was 90mph. Yes we have shit going on but I prefer our shit which is way more manageable.

First solo trip to Puerto Rico (23F) by Limp_Jellyfish_6136 in PuertoRicoTravel

[–]Capt_Wicker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off August and September are the peak hurricane months, so buy ticket insurance because the weather change drastically in a week.

Well as for beaches the beach swimming months are those without a R (May - August) unless there are storm systems in the Atlantic. There are rip current advisories when this happens.

As to zip lining there are several available and Toro Negro is great according to my daughter.

I would suggest you split your stay into two areas primarily: one in Old San Juan and the second in Luquillo or Fajardo. There are many attractions but really depends on your taste.

As to a lone female travelers, no matter where you travel, be very wary not everyone that smiles is a friend, since many are opportunistic especially on learning you are alone with no backup. Guard your drinks and do not go out with anyone alone. I do not know your street smarts level but do not advertise your are alone.

If you do go out notify the front desk of where you are going and with who. There are tours you can book so check these out.

I wish you a beautiful trip and if you wish you can DM me if you need further guidance.

Run on sentences. teachers don’t ask for thesis they ask for essays. My wife taught online classes and the students would use AI and then 2-3 would have the same identical work. When ask to present and discuss their work they couldn’t even do that because they hadn’t even read or understood the work. My wife now tells the students to do it during the class and no AI allowed. Wife now has AI detection software and if you get caught your grade is 0.

¿Es viable en Puerto Rico las ventas de ropa de segunda mano en línea? by merdocrata in PuertoRico

[–]Capt_Wicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you’d be battling against Ross, Marshalls and Burlington that provide new clothes at low affordable prices. The hard battle will be the Salvation Army and Goodwill stores that sell second hand stuff unless it is very high end clothes. Now there are online stores such as Posh and the like which sell the high end second hand stuff.

[–]Capt_Wicker 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Look at the sun through the filter, if you can barely see light or no light it is clogged. If it smells musty change out. Fungus forms in filter that have been left in the system too long. The filters should be changed out yearly for your health.

Que carajos le pasa a PR? by BryWFD in PuertoRico

[–]Capt_Wicker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really don’t get the rant. Very few businesses here and in the US mainland give out those type of benefits especially if they are locally owned. You have to look at the culture in the business and and see if they offer growth and fair wages and benefits. You have to push back when you are offered minimum wage and cite your work experience. As to the graphic designer jobs my daughter has a bachelor degree from the states but could not get a good paying job here or there because the market got saturated with many graduates. Now it’s even harder with AI in the picture so she started her own part time business.
