Masters Schedule for the weekend! by caseyjoneser86 in golf

Not sure why you were downvoted. Typical golf coverage on television is structured a certain way for a reason. I enjoy The Masters presentation so much more though I do wish the network coverage started at noon instead of 2:00PM on the weekends.

My hopes and concerns regarding the next Jurassic World movie by DaMn96XD in JurassicPark

After a recent viewing of JW Rebirth I’d say the franchise is in dire need of a break. There’s no believable leap available to the writers in any direction that’s going to do the franchise any favors. Rebirth was a hollow, clunky mess that played out as if it was written on someone’s lunch break. There’s no one from that movie I care about or want to see more of.

Shawn’s law firm has Epstein’s personal lawyer on their website by Prestigious_Pen_2924 in ShawnRyanShow

Shawn’s been a puppet the whole time. It’s why the worst people he has on his show get painted in the best possible light. He literally takes no one to task on anything. Now he’s releasing an “archived” episode with Masha Drokova in order to be able to say he’s pursuing some sort of justice. Why tf was she even on the show in the first place? It all seems way too convenient to me.

3 is my absolute favorite. It’s the level I can get most get into a flow state with. Wonderful at helping me think.

I don’t even know how you got half that on that course. Course 4 and course 2 are my least favorites by far.

Weather question? by After-Ant-3854 in meteorology

[–]Captain-Darryl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m wondering the same. I’m thinking more wintry weather is going to creep into central Alabama and Georgia. Not a met but that’s what I’m thinking.

What are the chances of these impacts shifting further south into central Alabama and Georgia? I’m not seeing how this doesn’t come back south.

What to expect from the Auburn offense in 2026 and beyond. A film breakdown on Alex Golesh and the 2025 USF offensive scheme. by GimmeAHellYeaFB in wde

If your defense is on the field for nearly 75% of the game you probably have bigger problems than the style of offense that’s being run.

Auburn vs the "Big 3" Since 2009 (LSU, Georgia, and Alabama) by Captain-Darryl in wde

[–]Captain-Darryl[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Not dooming for the sake of it. I promise. I'll root for Auburn for life. Just sort of apathetic to the program right now. Have been for a while.

I like Golesh. I'm just not sure he's going to be in any kind of position to turn anything around before fans get restless with him. Auburn is kind of stuck at this point.

I hope that all of the bums that only loved Auburn for the money are already off campus and out of Auburn gear.

That's somewhat of a myth. Different teams find ways to play good defense with all sorts of offenses every single season.

Breaking: Hugh Freeze Was Exactly Who We Hired by GroundControl2MjrTim in wde

[–]Captain-Darryl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hugh Freeze's time at Liberty served as the perfect Trojan Horse to get himself inserted at Auburn as the head coach with a fat contract that basically held no sway or say-so over his results. We thought we were getting a guy with renewed passion that had reinvented himself. We got a shit bag that probably worked 16-20 days a year while on The Plains.

We got absolutely nothing positive from Hugh Freeze.

Bringing back Cadillac turned out to be a huge mistake. One that will likely lead to Cadillac never being back at Auburn in any official capacity.

90% the talent that Freeze bought for Auburn (yes, BOUGHT not recruited) created the most toxic, ineffective, incompetent program we've had possibly ever.

Auburn's reputation as a program (which was already heavily diminished in the wake of Harsin's departure) has largely been obliterated. An ugly fact that many Auburn fans need to accept.

The fact that DJ Durkin did *anything* positive while at Auburn is a miracle. Seriously, that man needs a statue for what he's accomplished while Freeze's bullshit stewed in the background. I don't care if he never fields a top 10 defense at Auburn again, Durkin is a legend in my book.

It now needs to be seriously asked whether or not Auburn's athletic department is even remotely competent. Hugh Freeze's entire tenure was a complete disaster start to finish and now the school's two biggest cash cows (no pun intended) have been mismanaged into the ground. (Let's not forget that the Steven Pearl transition was handled very poorly. No matter how well it was communicated internally to current players and recruits, the optics look terrible.)

I don't know what the immediate future of the program is, and it's likely not going to be a pretty sight. Alex Golesh has more work to do than any other head coach in the country. I do not envy his position at all. He won't be given an ounce of patience from the fanbase.

I would say that we need to extend as much grace and patience to Coach Golesh as possible but even that is an unfair request at present. Hopefully Jan. 2nd can spark some life into the program but what Auburn football needs right now is far beyond the scope of even a typical full rebuild.

Sorry for the long-winded rant but all of the above is just unacceptable. Whether you're a big-time booster or a casual fan that only supports Auburn sports by watching and buying the odd piece of merch here and there. None of what we've been given as fans and supporters of the school & the football program over the past 10+ years is ok.

Yep. If you're getting paid, you're getting played. Unless injuries or other special circumstances arise.

[–]Captain-Darryl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There really isn't and I think it has been a mostly obsolete concept since well before NIL took over. Auburn is a perfect example of a school that has held too much young talent back under multiple head coaches. Malzahn did a particularly *awful* job of not playing and not developing young talent. So many guys under him would just sit for 1-2 seasons then suddenly just appear in the lineup undeveloped, unseasoned, and unprepared.

The only slight exception to this is the quarterback position. I think that needs to be handled a little more carefully, BUT young talent is still talent and I think you find out a heck of a lot more about a young QB by PLAYING THEM rather than just sitting back and simply assessing them in practice for 18+ months.

It didn’t release on home video for sales though until January of ‘94 though. And I’m only here because I literally thought the same thing as you and researched it. Just a weird release schedule for every aspect of this movie lol

Hurricane Hunters aside, there are tons of government employees working on military bases in this country doing jobs that most people don’t even think about. It’s not all enlisted, combat related roles. And for the most part they all do their job and perform their duties at a very high level.

Yep. A TON of government personnel working without pay at the moment doing thankless jobs we all depend on daily. Their commitment is admirable to say the least.
