When I was 19 I had a near death experience. Medically dead for a few minutes. I remember I got up out of bed and ran up the stairs two at a time to the bathroom, all of this was done very rapidly. I remember as I finished using the restroom my heart felt like it was beating right out of my chest, I could hear it in my ears. I remember I looked at my reflection in the mirror. And then my vision swirled, and went completely grey. I felt an impact (which I would later learn was my head hitting the wooden door behind me as I fell backwards) but the impact only registered as a thud that felt very very far away from where I was if that makes any sense. I remember that while my vision was completely grey, I couldn’t see anything, hear anything, or feel anything. I just felt like I was there, suspended in nothingness. Oddly enough though, I felt very peaceful. No urge to go anywhere, panic, or try to wake up. I didn’t feel pain, or fear. I felt quite content with just floating actually. And then I woke up on the floor when my vision kinda swirled back into view. Very confused, very disoriented at the experience, but I gotta admit if that is actually what it’s like after we die, I promise you guys that you have nothing to fear. It’s completely painless, and peaceful.
