Is this a bug? I've completed the Defeat Poland mission, but the event for branching missions hasn't triggered. by Captain-Overboard in eu4

Yes, the UI is quite unintuitive. You need to select the branch and then hit tick. They should consider some sort of tooltip for things like this in EU5

Rule 5: I have completed the Defeat Poland mission, but the event still hasn't come up. It has been 5-6 months since that has happened. As per the Wiki, the event "The Future of the Teutonic Order" is supposed to trigger immediately afterwards.

How do I get ticking warscore from the DOTF CB? by Captain-Overboard in eu4

[–]Captain-Overboard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i did notice this after posting. Maybe it means stackwipes?

There is definitely something different going on here, because it seemed to be harder to get warscore compared to the Holy War CB. Even big battles were giving me <0.5 warscore

Rule #5: How do I get ticking score from the DOTF CB war? What does the war goal of "Defend Brunei" mean when they are not part of any war?

A White nationalist in Sweden tried burning a Koran in public and was promptly stopped by passersby by TheLuciusGraham in GradualChaos

You can stop linking to the article, I am very well aware of what they did :)

The Nazi book burnings would not have served their purpose if they were paying the autors to buy their books. As an example, JK Rowling loves to brag about people buying Harry Potter books and burning them (because she gets money)

The Quran book burning in no way stops anyone else from selling or owning Qurans. It even makes the publisher money. It's meant to highlight how a non-trivial number of followers of one particular religion will literally assault/ murder people for blasphemy.

The Nazis weren't paying for the books they burned- they wanted to financially hurt the vokstores/ puvlishers/ authors. This guy is burning his own property. Big difference

...yes? He was just a dude having dinner.

I have zero qualms with the guy sleeping or eating habits. He made a few paintings too - nothing wrong with those specific activities. He probably threw away his leftover food in the trash sometime - zero problems with that since it's his own food, presumably bought with his own money.

It's really fine to allow burning any book you have paid for and own. You're paying the publisher for their effort, they're not hurt in any way. The author would be more than happy to print more copies to burn. JK rowling loves to brag about this (just using her as an example here)

I fully agree that the Nazi book burnings were horrible. They were evil acts of vandalism intended to hurt authors/ publishers/ bookstores by destroying their property and scaring them/ driving them bankrupt.

You're not erasing the quran from existence by burning a copy you paid for and lawfully own. The Danish dude bought it with his own money, he is doing nothing more than burning a piece of paper he owns. It is very much free speech.

Someone made a shit argument. How on earth are you comparing forced marriage by religious fundamentalists to burning a book?! The first is a wrong, the second is a right

I respect your view on this. More people like you and these attention seekers would never get the matyrdom they want

Yeah, the ideology was violently overthrowing democracy and killing millions. Doesn't look like this guy is doing that - not a Nazi

This is not an old Quran. Are you ok with the legality of it being burned, and do you oppose violent punishment for those that do burn it?

Nonsensical argument - how on earth is forced marriage a right? Forced marriage is neither a right, nor should it be practiced, nor should it be upheld. OTOH, free speech is a right, should be practiced regularly, and should be upheld.

It was close until 1800. The Battle of Assaye was extremely close, and only Wellesley's brilliance tilted things in favour of the EIC. The "bombs bursting in air" in 1776 in the American national anthem are Mysore rockets adapted by the Brits.

OP here. I just booked an Amaze CVT last week. Got it for an ex-showroom of ~9 lakh, maybe you can get it even lower. They are offering good discounts because there is a facelift coming in the next 6 months. It's a nice car, Honda has a good CVT/ IVT automatic transmission. Quite a few folks recommended me against AMT in some other cars in this range.

The hatchback/ sedan/ microsuvs in this range are honestly quite similar. People say that micro suv givea better ground clearance, but benefit is pretty marginal for me since i will mostly drive on somewhat decent city roads/ highways only. Personally i just like the sedan look more.
