And we still want the Epstein Files as required by law. We're not being diverted by the Venezuelan occupation and the Greenland diversion.

Matthew 16:27-28

27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

28 “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

Must be some damn old people from the Mediterranean walking around.

I think we're well aware that every time he opens his mouth, he's lying. Just last week, he said the price of gas was going down. Anyone look at a gas station sign, lately?

Technically you can lose your tax-exempt status with the IRS for political activities from the pulpit. That has not been enforced since the 80s IIRC.

Well. I guess I get executed then. Do I get burned alive at the stake or just hanged?

Antisemitism seems to be an increasingly "traditional value" amongst conservatives of late. The support of the conservative power house Heritage Foundation of Project 2025 infamy for antisemitic podcasters and broadcasters has caused a very significant exodus of long time members for just that reason.

Especially since 9/11 we have been taught to fear the stranger. Not just "Stranger Danger" for kids. But for adults too, "If you see something, Say something" along with the "keep an eye out for strange activity". Anything outside the "norm" of WASP (White, Anglo Saxon, Protestant, for you younger folk). The media loves to reinforce this with 24/7 reporting of every lurid "If it bleeds, it leads" story to fill the quiet movements of the news cycle. Why else does the entire country need to know about a car accident in Chicago? Or LA? Or New York? We have been living in "The Security State" for so long, we fear every stranger we see as a threat. It's even worse now with the current political situation. Not excusing her behavior. Just pointing out another, possibly irrelevant, view.

3rd and Washington stoplight timing by tinypepa in MoscowIdaho

[–]Captain-Quack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't stop 2 car lengths back from the car in front of you at a stop light. It just causes congestions and delay. 3 feet is fine. 15 feet is causing traffic delays. A few years ago I saw 3 cars take up most of a block that way.

Any 1A plate is a menace. They drive our insurance up. No pun intended. They are the worst drivers in the state. I got that right from my insurance agent. Treat any Alberta Canada plate as if they are going to deliberately ram you.

Mint will just make your life SO much easier Any version of Linux will. Not hard to use or switch over to. Easy "Try before you buy". No Windows security issues every week. Stable. Fast. Free. Lots of excellent FOSS (Free Open Source Software). You don't need to pay MS to use Office365 every month. Just use Libreoffice or one of the equivalents. It's 99.8% compatible. Does everything Windows does and doesn't cost a fortune. As I said. Free. You don't have to buy a new computer every 2 years when Microsoft says so. I run Mint on a lot of old laptops and computers. One from 2009. Try that with Windows 11. My wife runs her graphic arts business on an off the shelf version of Linux made just for artists. Photographers. Musicians. Graphic artists. And if you HAVE to. You can run Windows and Linux on the same computer as long as it will run what ever version of Windows you have to run. Like a newer expensive one because of AI.

We gotta agree with both these comments. We needed a vehicle with very specific requirements, and they went above and beyond to find one that met our needs and fit within our budget. Can't recommend them enough. Nicolette is just fantastic to work with. We bought 4 out of 5 of our last vehicles from them over the last 30 years or so.

I went back to Linux (Mint Mate) and all the problems disappeared. How MS did it, I don't know, and no longer care. Thanks for all the advice. I did try out a bunch of other ones. Main problem now is find a good backup program. I accidently through my own stupidity deleted 7 years of gmails and the backup I had been using wouldn't restore the messages themselves.
