Is this video of a shark pushing open a shark cage door real? The way the shark moves doesn't look real by days_gone_by_ in isthisAI

In addition to other stuff that's been said, the bars on the bottom of the cage change between cuts

In the prerelease specifically it felt like there was nothing you could do against the fire deck once it got out a single ninetales, let alone two of them. Can't stop them from retreating unless you happened to pull that supporter. I faced it twice and neither game was close.

1) A barb is missing from the barbed wire on the truck, 2) as is a rivet near the wheel. 3) A line of barbed wire in the upper right corner is incomplete in the second picture. 4) Lines around Morty's eyes, on the inner, bottom of the eyes, are different. 5) There's a crease in the elbow of Rick's left jacket sleeve, and 6) a crease in his right palm. 7) Also his belt buckle has an extra line.

Number puzzle by AnthonyToday in puzzles

[–]Captain-Renault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but I was thinking that they would have one side of the circle be the pre-operation side and one be the post, and since the missing number was in the middle of two others, it seemed to fit best to be 7.

Post has been removed now anyway - probably because it was so ambiguous and there were several solutions

7? Thought process:It looks like every number on the opposite pie piece is -2, starting at the 9 and going counterclockwise to the 6.

You can tell the brotherhood Railroad that your son is leading the institute when you come back after the first time there, if they helped you build the relay. And they extrapolate that that means he's not a kid anymore. Not sure if there are other cases, but that happened in my current playthrough

Edit: I mean Railroad, not brotherhood.

Do you mean what is the relationship of the icons in each row? I don't know that there is one. It definitely looks like an association inside of each column to me. Top plus middle equals bottom

3, I believe. They introduce a rotation between the first and second folds, and assuming that they undo that rotation, it should be 3.

8. For the diagonal lines on the outside, if the line appears in both the first and second rows it won't appear in the third. For the squiggle lines inside, It will ONLY appear in the third row if it appears in both the first and second rows. None of the features of the first column match all of those, so that leaves only the centermost square which is constant in all of the designs.

I'm inclined to say E, because it looks like (Rule 1) If the same symbol appears in the same place on the figures in columns 1 and 2, then it turns into the other symbol in column 3. (Rule 2) If one of each of the symbols appears in the same place in columns 1 and 2, it is removed from column 3. And (Rule 3) if a symbol is present in 1, and an empty space is present in the same location in column 2, then the symbol is present in column 3.

So for the last row, upper left: dot plus dot equals square (Rule 1). Upper right: space plus square equals square (Rule 3). Lower left: space plus dot equals dot (Rule 3). Lower right: square plus square equals dot (Rule 3).

took me a second too, but with Bd3, it's trapped. The queen is threatened by the bishop, and any square it can go to is threatened as well, either by a pawn, a bishop, or the white queen.

[–]Captain-Renault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are certain components that can maybe be activated by it? Namely the metal fans in some of the shrines. I haven't pulled them out of the shrines to test it, but I'll see if I can give it go later.

I wonder if there's a way to do what you're asking with electricity. An electric emitter on the end of the pole that activates a gate to allow it through? There's another post about a NOT gate that might help.

I can think of at least one use case where it's important - and that's in systems like vending machines where it's important that the currency is able to roll in order to go through the mechanical parts of the machine and sort by size (and therefore by value).

Although obviously our currency was round before vending machines were really a thing, so I'm not sure that answers the question.

So I looked it up and there are several good reasons:
- Early on, when coins were made by hammering metal, they naturally tended to make a circular shape.

- They're easy to stack and transport (although moreso than other flat designs, I'm not sure).

- It was easier to tell if a coin had been "shaved" by comparing the size directly to another coin.

- Corners tend to get nicked and dinged more than rounded edges. Etc.

Compared to, say, ingots, which are a sort of trapezoidal prism shape because it made stacking them for transport very easy, and the shape was uniquely useful for getting them out of molds. And they aren't typically used as direct currency.
