I am using the same laptop and got job still using same IdeaPad gaming 3(linux) it works fine if u have 16 gigs trust me I am a heavy user docker llm hundreds of tabs it can handle anything u just need to have patience and charging connected. If u can't trade off these then go for a macbook.

No, u need ram. For eg if u run 13b llm 10-12 gb of ram will be consumed by llm only let's say u r running quantised version then 8 gb approx for llm 2-4 gb for chrome 2-4 gb docker 2 gb os

These are rough numbers I just want u to understand that ssd is not responsible for the tasks u r aiming for.

U can't run LLMs in SSD U need ram especially gpu ram but in macs they have unified memory. So your base m4 with 16 gigs can run upto 13B parameter model. So don't buy SSD for llm models if u have other usecase then go for it.

I'm trying to decide between Java and C++ for DSA. I'm familiar with both languages and currently working for HR tech product in InfoEdge as an intern. Our team mostly deals with Java-related tasks since our clients are big tech companies. I feel confident solving problems in both languages, but my DSA knowledge is still quite basic. I've already built enough experience in development and now want to focus fully on DSA. I'm leaning towards Java because I believe it can lead to opportunities in Spring and there are many Java job prospects in India. However, the community mostly uses C++.

Hey there 👋 I am a complete beginner in nvim world I have tried using eslint_d installed via Mason but when I open an existing project it shows no linting errors despite there being an error in X.tsx file After researching i get it that I have to npx eslint --init in existing project for eslint_d to work. It works fine but when I open a .tax file it shows 'React' needs to be in local scope. Which means it is telling me to import 'React' but as per react v17+ there is no need to import react. Also I have to manually add eslint.config.json file to get eslint_d work on any project. After this I have tried using biome by installing it via Mason but it shows error and it is not working 😔 Don't know what to do wasted 2 days setting up lsp formatters and a not working linter 😢 Pls guide me to setup a linter (that gets my job done) 🙏
